ಶ್ಲೋ|| ತತೋ ರಾವಣ ನೀತಾಯಾಃ ಸೀತಾಯಾಃ ಶತ್ರುಕರ್ಷಣಃ |
ಇಯೇಷಪದಮನ್ವೇಷ್ಟುಂ ಚಾರಣಾಚರಿತೇ ಪಥೇ ||1||

ಸ||ತತಃ ರಾವಣ ನೀತಾಯಾಃ ಸೀತಾಯಾಃ ಪದಂ ಅನ್ವೇಷ್ಟುಂ (ಹನುಮಾನ್) ಶತ್ರುಕರ್ಷಣಃ ಚಾರಣಾಚರಿತೇ ಪಥಿ (ಚರಿತುಂ)ಇಯೇಷ ||

Then following the path of the celestial bards Hanuman the destroyer of enemies resolved to search for Sita carried away by Ravana.

ಶ್ಲೋ|| ದುಷ್ಕರ್ಷಂ ನಿಷ್ಪ್ರತಿದ್ವಂದ್ವಂ ಚಿಕೀರ್ಷನ್ ಕರ್ಮ ವಾನರಃ |
ಸಮುದಗ್ರ ಶಿರೋಗ್ರೀವೋ ಗವಾಂಪತಿರಿವಾಬಭೌ|| 2 ||
ಅಥ ವೈಡೂರ್ಯ ವರ್ಣೇಷು ಶಾದ್ವಲೇಷು ಮಹಾಬಲಃ |
ಧೀರಸ್ಸಲಿಲಕಲ್ಪೇಷು ವಿಚಚಾರ ಯಥಾಸುಖಮ್ ||3||

ಸ|| ವಾನರಃ ದುಷ್ಕರಂ ಕರ್ಮ ನಿಷ್ಪ್ರತಿದ್ವಂದ್ವಂ ಚಿಕೀರ್ಷನ್ ಸಮುದಗ್ರ ಶಿರೋ ಗ್ರೀವಃ (ಸಃ ವಾನರಃ) ಗವಾಂಪತಿ ಇವ ಬಭೌ|ಅಥ ಹನುಮಾನ್ ಧೀರಃ ಮಹಾಬಲಃ ವೈಡೂರ್ಯ ವರ್ಣೇಷು ಸಲಿಲ ಕಲ್ಪೇಷು ಶಾದ್ವಲೇಷು ಯಥಾ ಸುಖಂ ವಿಚಚಾರ ||

Intending to accomplish the very difficult action ( of crossing the ocean) which had no rival, he raised his head and neck. Then he appeared like the king of bulls. Then the mighty Hanuman strolled on the green grassy lands with a sheet of water happily.

ಸ|| ಧೀಮಾನ್ (ಹನುಮತಃ) ದ್ವಿಜಾನ್ ಸುಬಹೂನ್ ಮೃಗಾಂಶ್ಚ ವಿತ್ರಾಶಯನ್ ಪ್ರವೃದ್ಧಃ ಪಾದಪಾನ್ ಉರಸಾ ಹರನ್ ಕೇಶರೀ ಇವ (ವಿಚಚಾರ)||( ಸಃ ಗಿರಿವರ್ಯಃ ) ಸ್ವಭಾವ ವಿಹಿತೈಃ ಚಿತ್ರೈಃ ನೀಲ ಲೋಹಿತ ಮಾಂಜಿಷ್ಟ ಪತ್ರವರ್ಣೈಃ ಸಿತಾಸಿತೈಃ (ಚ) ಧಾತುಭಿಃ ಸಮಲಂಕೃತಂ ||

The wise Hanuman scaring the birds and many other animals, uprooting and trampling the trees with his chest, went about like a lion. (The mountain) with its natural blue red green and yellow colors as well as white and black colors of minerals looked like it is decorated all over.

ಶ್ಲೋ|| ಕಾಮರೂಪಿಭಿರಾವಿಷ್ಟಮ್ ಅಭೀಕ್ಷ್ಣಂ ಸಪರಿಛ್ಛದೈಃ |
ಯಕ್ಷಕಿನ್ನರ ಗಂಧರ್ವೈಃ ದೇವಕಲ್ಪೈಶ್ಚ ಪನ್ನಗೈಃ ||6||
ಸ ತಸ್ಯ ಗಿರಿವರಸ್ಯ ತಲೇ ನಾಗವರಾಯುತೇ |
ತಿಷ್ಠನ್ ಕಪಿವರಃ ತತ್ರ ಹ್ರದೇ ನಾಗ ಇವ ಬಭೌ || 7 ||

ಸ|| (ಸಃ ಗಿರಿವರ್ಯಃ) ಕಾಮರೂಪಿಭಿಃ ಯಕ್ಷ ಕಿನ್ನರ ಗಂಧರ್ವೈಃ ಪನ್ನಗೈಃ ಸಪರಿಚ್ಛದೈಃ ಅಭೀಕ್ಷಣಮ್ ದೈವಕಲ್ಪೈಶ್ಚಆವಿಷ್ಠಂ || ಸ ಕಪಿವರಃ ನಾಗವರಾಯುತೇ ತಸ್ಯ ಗಿರಿವರಸ್ಯ ಹೃದೇ ತಲೇ ತಿಷ್ಠನ್ ನಾಗಃ ಇವ ಅಬಭೌ||

(The mountain) was very much occupied by ,Yakshas, Kinnaras Gandharvas ,Pannagas and people who take any form they please, surrounded by their retinues. They were looking like gods. The best of Vanaras standing at the center of that mountain filled with lordly elephants looked like an elephant.

ಅಞ್ಜಲಿಂ ಪ್ರಾಜ್ಞ್ಮುಖಂ ಕೃತ್ವಾ ಪವನಾಯಾತ್ಮ ಯೋನಯೇ |
ತತೋಽಭಿವವೃಧೇ ಗಂತುಂ ದಕ್ಷಿಣೋ ದಕ್ಷಿಣಾಂ ದಿಶಮ್ ||9||

ಸ|| ಸಃ ಸೂರ್ಯಾಯ ಮಹೇಂದ್ರಾಯ ಪವನಾಯ ಸ್ವಯಂಭುವೇ ಭೂತೇಭ್ಯಃ ಅಂಜಲಿಂ ಕೃತ್ವಾ ಗಮನೇ ಮತಿಂ ಚಕಾರ ||ಪ್ರಾಜ್ಙ್ಮುಖಃ ಆತ್ಮಯೋನಯೇ ಪವನಾಯ ಅಂಜಲಿಂ ಕೃತ್ವಾ ತತಃ ದಕ್ಷಿಣಃ ಹನುಮಾನ್ ದಕ್ಷಿಣದಿಶಂ ಗಂತುಂ ವವೃಧೇ ಹಿ||

Offering salutations to Sun, Indra, Vayu, the creator and all the elements , he decided in his mind to proceed (to Lanka). Facing east offering salutations to his father , the wind god, the capable Hanuman grew in size to go in southern direction.

ಶ್ಲೋ|| ಪ್ಲವಙ್ಗಪ್ರವರೈರ್ದೃಷ್ಟಃ ಪ್ಲವನೇ ಕೃತ ನಿಶ್ಚಯಃ
ವವೃಧೇ ರಾಮವೃಧ್ಯರ್ಥಂ ಸಮುದ್ರ ಇವ ಪರ್ವಸು || 10 ||
ನಿಷ್ಪ್ರಮಾಣಶರೀರಸ್ಸನ್ ಲಿಲಿಂಘಯಿಷುರರ್ಣವಮ್ |
ಬಾಹುಭ್ಯಾಂ ಪೀಡಯಾಮಾಸ ಚರಾಣಾಭ್ಯಾಂ ಚ ಪರ್ವತಮ್ || 11 ||

ಸ|| (ಯದಾ) ಪ್ಲವಙ್ಗ ಪ್ರವರೈಃ ದೃಷ್ಟಃ - (ತದಾ) ಪ್ಲವನೇ ಕೃತ ನಿಶ್ಚಯಃ ಹನುಮಾನ್ ರಾಮವೃಧ್ಯರ್ಥಮ್ ಪರ್ವಸು ( ಪರ್ವದಿನೇಷು) ಸಮುದ್ರ ಇವ ವವೃಧೇ (ಯಥಾ) || ನಿಷ್ಪ್ರಮಾಣ ಶರೀರಃ ಸನ್ ಅರ್ಣವಮ್ (ಸಾಗರಂ) ಲಿಲಿಂಘಯಿಷು ಬಾಹುಭ್ಯಾಂ ಚರಣಾಭ್ಯಾಂ ಚ ಪರ್ವತಮ್ ಪೀಡಯಾಮಾಸ||

While being seen by the Vanara chiefs, then having resolved to take a leap for achieving the task of Rama, Hanuman grew like the sea during the full moon days. With an immeasurable size of body to cross the ocean Hanuman started to put pressure on the mountain with his feet and hands.

ಶ್ಲೋ|| ಸ ಚಚಾಲಚಲಶ್ಚಾಪಿ ಮುಹೂರ್ತಂ ಕಪಿ ಪೀಡಿತಃ |
ತರೂಣಾಂ ಪುಷ್ಪಿತಾಗ್ರಾಣಾಂ ಸರ್ವಂ ಪುಷ್ಪಮಶಾತಯನ್ ||12 ||
ತೇನ ಪಾದಪಮುಕ್ತೇನ ಪುಷ್ಪೌಘೇಣ ಸುಗನ್ಧಿನಾ |
ಪರ್ವತಃ ಸಂವೃತಶ್ಶೈಲೋ ಬಭೌ ಪುಷ್ಪಮಯೋ ಯಥಾ ||13 ||

ಸ|| ಅಚಲಶ್ಚಾಪಿ ಕಪಿ ಪೀಡಿತಃ ಮುಹೂರ್ತಮ್ ಚಚಾಲ | (ತದಾ) ಪುಷ್ಪಿತಾಗ್ರಾಣಾಂ ತರೂಣಾಂ ಸರ್ವಂ ಪುಷ್ಪಂ ಅಸಾತಯನ್||ಶೈಲಃ ಪಾದಪಮುಕ್ತೇನ ಸುಗನ್ಧಿನಾ ಪುಷ್ಪೌಘೇಣ ಸಂವೃತಃ ಪುಷ್ಪಮಯೋ ಪರ್ವತಃ ಯಥಾ ಬಭೌ||

The immovable one ( the mountain) also for a moment was shaken by the Vanara. Then the flowers on the top of trees full of trees fell down. The mountain covered with the fragrant flowers fallen from the trees, looked like a mountain of flowers.

ಶ್ಲೋ|| ತೇನ ಚೋತ್ತಮ ವೀರ್ಯೇಣ ಪೀಡ್ಯಮಾನಸ್ಸ ಪರ್ವತಃ |
ಸಲಿಲಂ ಸಂಪ್ರಸುಸ್ರಾವ ಮದಂ ಮತ್ತ ಇವ ದ್ವಿಪಃ ||14 ||
ಪೀಡ್ಯಮಾನಸ್ತು ಬಲಿನಾ ಮಹೇನ್ದ್ರಸ್ತೇನ ಪರ್ವತಃ |
ರೀತಿಃ ನಿರ್ವವರ್ತಯಾಮಾಸ ಕಾಞ್ಚನಾಂಜನರಾಜತೀಃ || 15 ||

ಸ|| ತೇನ ಉತ್ತಮವೀರ್ಯೇಣ ಪೀಡಿತಃ ಸಃ ಪರ್ವತಃ ಮತ್ತಃ ದ್ವಿಪಃ ಮದಂ ಇವ ಸಲಿಲಂ ಸುಶ್ರಾವ||ಮಹೇನ್ದ್ರ ಪರ್ವತಃ ತೇನ ಬಲಿನಾ ಪೀಡ್ಯಮಾನಃ ಕಾಞ್ಚನಾಂಜನ ರಾಜತೀಃ ರೀತಿಃ ನಿರ್ವರ್ತಯಾಮಾಸ||

Then pressed by the highly valiant one, that mountain let go of waters like the elephant in rut. The Mahendra mountain , pressurized by his might , let go of streams of gold and silver.

ಶ್ಲೋ|| ಮುಮೋಚ ಚ ಶಿಲಾಶ್ಶೈಲೋ ವಿಶಾಲಾಸಮನಶ್ಶಿಲಾಃ |
ಮಧ್ಯಮೇನಾರ್ಚಿಷಾ ಜುಷ್ಠೋ ಧೂಮರಾಜೀಃ ಇವಾನಲಃ|| 16||
ಗಿರಿಣಾಪೀಡ್ಯಮಾನೇನ ಪೀಡ್ಯಮಾನಾನಿ ಸರ್ವತಃ |
ಗುಹಾವಿಷ್ಠಾನಿ ಭೂತಾನಿ ವಿನೇದುರ್ವಿಕೃತೈಃ ಸ್ವರೈಃ ||17||

ಸ|| ಶೈಲಃ ವಿಶಾಲಾಃ ಶಿಲಾಃ ಸಮನಃ ಶಿಲಾಃ ಮುಮೋಚ (ಯಥಾ) ಮಧ್ಯಮೇನ ಅರ್ಚಿಷಾ ಧೂಮರಾಜೀರಿವ ಅನಲಃ ಜುಷ್ಟಾಃ||ಗಿರಿಣಾ ಸರ್ವತಃ ಪೀಡ್ಯಮಾನಾನಿ ಗುಹಾವಿಷ್ಟಾನಿ ಭೂತಾನಿ ಪೀಡ್ಯಮಾನೇನ ವಿಕೃತೈಃ ಸ್ವರೈಃ ವಿನೇದುಃ ||

The mountain let go of big boulders with Sulphur pigments just like fire emits columns of smoke possessed with fire. Being shaken by the mountain all the beings living in the caves shrieked with horrible sounds.

ಶ್ಲೋ|| ಸ ಮಹಾಸತ್ವ ಸನ್ನಾದಃ ಶೈಲಪೀಡಾನಿಮಿತ್ತಜಃ |
ಪೃಥಿವೀಂ ಪೂರಯಾಮಾಸ ದಿಶಶ್ಚೋಪವನಾನಿ ಚ ||18||
ಶಿರೋಭಿಃ ಪೃಥಿಭಿಃ ಸರ್ಪಾ ವ್ಯಕ್ತ ಸ್ವಸ್ತಿಕಲಕ್ಷಣೈಃ |
ವಮನ್ತಃ ಪಾವಕಂ ಘೋರಂ ದದಂಶುಃ ದಶನೈಶ್ಶಿಲಾಃ ||19||

ಸ||ಶೈಲಪೀಡಾ ನಿಮಿತ್ತಜಃ ಸಃ ಮಹಾಸತ್ತ್ವ ಸನ್ನಾದಃ ಪೃಥಿವೀನ್ ದಿಶಶ್ಚ ಉಪವನಾನಿ ಚ ಪೂರಯಾಮಾಸ||ಸರ್ಪಾಃ ವ್ಯಕ್ತ ಸ್ವಸ್ತಿಕ ಲಕ್ಷಣೈಃ ಪೃಥುಭಿಃ ಶಿರೋಭಿಃ ಘೋರಂ ಪಾವಕಂ ವಮನ್ತಃ ದಶನೈಃ ಶಿಲಾಃ ದದಂಶುಃ ||

Caused by the crushing power of the mountain, the loud noises made by all the creatures filled all the all the groves on earth in all directions. The snakes with the signs of swastika on their foreheads bit the rocks with their fangs producing great fire.

ಶ್ಲೋ|| ತಾಸ್ತದಾ ಸವಿಷೈಃ ದಷ್ಟಾಃ ಕುಪಿತೈಃ ತೈಃ ಮಹಾಶಿಲಾಃ |
ಜಜ್ವಲುಃ ಪಾವಕೋದ್ದೀಪ್ತಾ ಬಿಭಿದುಶ್ಚ ಸಹಸ್ರಥಾ ||20||
ಯಾನಿ ಚೌಷಧಜಾಲಾನಿ ತಸ್ಮಿನ್ ಜಾತಾನಿ ಪರ್ವತೇ |
ವಿಷಘ್ನಾನ್ಯಪಿ ನಾಗಾನಾಂ ನ ಶೇಕುಃ ಶಮಿತಂ ವಿಷಂ||21||

ಸ|| ತದಾ ಕುಪಿತೈಃ ಸವಿಷೈಃ ( ಸರ್ಪೈಃ) ದಷ್ಟಾ ಮಹಾಶಿಲಾಃ ಪಾವಕೋದದೀಪ್ತಾಃ ಜಜ್ವಲುಃ ಸಹಸ್ರಧಾ ಬಿಬಿಧುಃ ಚ||ತಸ್ಮಿನ್ ಪರ್ವತೇ ಜಾತಾನಿ ಔಷಧಜಲಾನಿ ನಾಗಾನಾಂ ಶಮಿತಂ ವಿಷಂ ವಿಷಘ್ನಾನ್ಯಪಿ ನ ಶೇಕುಃ ||

Then the mountain bitten by the angry and venomous snakes and burnt by the fire broke into thousands of pieces. The medicinal plants capable of counteracting the poisons, grown on the mountain were not enough to neutralize the poison ( spewed by the snakes).

ಶ್ಲೋ|| ಭಿದ್ಯತೇಽಯಂ ಗಿರಿರ್ಭೂ ತೈರಿತಿ ಮತ್ವಾ ತಪಸ್ವಿನಃ |
ತ್ರಸ್ತಾ ವಿಧ್ಯಾಧರಃ ತಸ್ಮಾತ್ ಉತ್ಪೇತುಃ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಗಣೈಸಹ||22||
ಪಾನಭೂಮಿಗತಂ ಹಿತ್ವಾ ಹೈಮಮಾಸವಭಾಜನಮ್|
ಪಾತ್ರಾಣಿ ಚ ಮಹಾರ್ಹಾಣಿ ಕರಕಾಂಶ್ಚ ಹಿರಣ್ಮಯಾನ್ ||23||

ಸ|| ಅಯಂ ಗಿರಿಃ ಭೂತೈಃ ಭಿದ್ಯತೇ ಇತಿ ಮತ್ವಾ ತ್ರಸ್ತಾ ತಪಸ್ವಿನಃ (ತಥೈವ) ಸ್ತ್ರೀಗಣೈಃ ಸಹ ವಿಧ್ಯಾಧರಃ ತಸ್ಮಾತ್ ಉತ್ಪೇತುಃ||ಮಹಾರ್ಹಾಣಿ ಪಾತ್ರಾಣಿ ಹೈಮ ಮಾಸವ ಭಾಜನಂ ಹಿರನ್ಮಯಾನ್ ಕರಕಾಂಶ್ಚ ಹಿತ್ವಾ ||

Thinking that this mountain is breaking up , the scared ascetics as well as the Vidyadharas along with their women folk flew up in fear. The valuable vessels , golden drinking cups with golden goblets were left behind .

ಶ್ಲೋ|| ಲೇಹ್ಯಾನುಚ್ಚಾವಚಾನ್ ಭಕ್ಷ್ಯಾನ್ ಮಾಂಸಾನಿ ವಿವಿಧಾನಿ ಚ|
ಆರ್ಷಭಾಣೀ ಚ ಚರ್ಮಾಣಿ ಖಡ್ಗಾಂಶ್ಚ ಕನಕತ್ಸರೂನ್ ||24||
ಕೃತಕಂಠಗುಣಾಃ ಕ್ಷೀಬಾ ರಕ್ತಮಾಲ್ಯಾನುಲೇಪನಃ|
ರಕ್ತಾಕ್ಷಾಃ ಪುಷ್ಕರಾಕ್ಷಾಶ್ಚ ಗಗನಂ ಪ್ರತಿಪೇದಿರೇ ||25||

ಸ|| (ವಿಧ್ಯಾಧರಾಃ) ಲೇಹ್ಯಾನ್ ಉಚ್ಚಾವಚಾನ್ ಭಕ್ಷ್ಯಾನ್ ವಿವಿಧಾನಿ ಮಾಂಸಾನಿ ಚ ಅರ್ಷಭಾಣಿ ಚರ್ಮಾಣಿ ಕನಕತ್ಸರೂನ್ ಖಡ್ಗಾಂ ಚ ಹಿತ್ವಾ (ಉತ್ಪೇತುಃ)|| ವಿಧ್ಯಾಧರಾಃ ಕ್ಷೀಬಾಃ ಕೃತಕಂಠಗಣಾಃ ರಕ್ತಾಕ್ಷಾಃ ಪುಷ್ಕರಾಕ್ಷಃ ಚ ರಕ್ತಮಾಲ್ಯಾನು ಲೇಪನಃ ಗಗನಂ ಪ್ರತಿಪೇದಿರೇ||

Food that was licked , various type of small and big eatables, meat , hides of bulls , swords covered with golden sheaths were all left behind. The Vidyadharas, intoxicated , wearing chains, with red lotus like eyes, wearing garlands and red unguents flew into the sky.

ವಿಸ್ಮಿತಾಃ ಸಸ್ಮಿತಾಸ್ತಸ್ಥುರಾಕಾಶೇ ರಮಣೈಃ ಸಹ ||26||
ದರ್ಶಯನ್ತೋ ಮಹಾವಿದ್ಯಾಂ ವಿದ್ಯಾಧರಮಹರ್ಷಯಃ |
ಸಹಿತಾಸ್ತಸ್ಥುರಾಕಾಶೇ ವೀಕ್ಷಾಂಚಕ್ರುಶ್ಚ ಪರ್ವತಮ್ ||27||

ಸ|| ವಿಸ್ಮಿತಾಃ ಸಸ್ಮಿತಾಃ ಹಾರನೂಪೂರ ಕೇಯೂರ ಪಾರಿಹಾರ್ಯ ಧರಾಃ ಸ್ತ್ರಿಯಃ ರಮಣೈಃ ಸಹ ಆಕಾಶೇ ತಸ್ಥುಃ|| ವಿಧ್ಯಾಧರ ಮಹರ್ಷಯಃ ಸಹಿತಾಃ ಮಹಾವಿದ್ಯಾಂ ದರ್ಶಯನ್ತಃ ಆಕಾಶೇ ತಸ್ಥುಃ ವೀಕ್ಷಾಂಚಕ್ರುಶ್ಚ ಪರ್ವತಮ್||

Wonder struck women wearing necklaces , anklets and armlets stayed in the sky with their lovers smiling gently. The great seers among Vidyadharas, proficient in all studies, were also watching the mountain, staying up in the sky.

ಶ್ಲೋ|| ಶುಶ್ರುವುಶ್ಚ ತದಾಶಬ್ದಂ ಋಷೀಣಾಂ ಭಾವಿತಾತ್ಮನಾಂ|
ಚಾರಣಾನಾಂಶ್ಚ ಸಿದ್ಧಾನಾಂ ಸ್ಥಿತಾನಾಂ ವಿಮಲೇಽಮ್ಬರೇ||28||
ಏಷಪರ್ವತ ಸಙ್ಕಾಶೋ ಹನುಮಾನ್ ಮಾರುತಾತ್ಮಜಃ|
ತಿತೀರ್ಷತಿ ಮಹಾವೇಗಃ ಸಮುದ್ರಂ ಮಕರಾಲಯಮ್ ||29||
ರಾಮಾರ್ಥಂ ವಾನರಾರ್ಥಂ ಚ ಚಿಕೀರ್ಷನ್ ಕರ್ಮ ದುಷ್ಕರಮ್|
ಸಮುದ್ರಸ್ಯ ಪರಂ ಪಾರಂ ದುಷ್ಪ್ರಾಪಂ ಪ್ರಾಪ್ತುಮಿಚ್ಛತಿ ||30||

ಸ|| ತದಾ ಋಷೀಣಾಂ ಭಾವಿತಾತ್ಮನಾಂ ಚಾರಣಾನಾಂ ಸಿದ್ಧಾನಾಂ ಚ ವಿಮಲೇ ಅಮ್ಬರೇ ಸ್ಥಿತಾನಾಂ ಶಬ್ದಂ ಶುಶ್ರುವುಃ||ಏಷಃ ಪರ್ವತ ಸಙ್ಕಾಶಃ ಮಾರುತಾತ್ಮಜಃ ಮಹಾವೇಗಃ ಹನುಮಾನ್ ಮಕರಾಲಯಂ ಸಮುದ್ರಂ ತಿತೀರ್ಷತಿ|| ರಾಮಾರ್ಥಂ ವಾನರಾರ್ಥಂ ಚ ದುಷ್ಕರಂ ಕರ್ಮ ಚಿಕೀರ್ಷನ್ ಸಮುದ್ರಸ್ಯ ದುಷ್ಪ್ರಾಪಂ ಪರಂ ಪಾರಂ ಪ್ರಾಪ್ತುಂ ಇಚ್ಛತಿ||

Then the sounds of seers who are seekers of truth, Siddhas, Charanas who stay in the skies were heard. ( They said ) 'This son of wind god, swift Hanuman of the size of a mountain is desiring to cross the ocean which is the abode of crocodiles. For the sake of Rama and for the sake of Vanaras, to achieve a difficult task he wants to reach the other shore of the ocean which is difficult to reach '.

ಶ್ಲೋ|| ಇತಿ ವಿದ್ಯಾಧರಾಃ ಶ್ರುತ್ವಾ ವಚಸ್ತೇಷಾಂ ತಪಸ್ವಿನಾಮ್|
ತಮಪ್ರಮೇಯಂ ದದೃಶುಃ ಪರ್ವತೇ ವಾನರರ್ಷಭಮ್||31||
ದುಧುವೇಚ ಸ ರೋಮಾಣಿ ಚಕಂಪೇ ಚಾಚ ಲೋಪಮಃ|
ನನಾದ ಸು ಮಹಾನಾದಂಸು ಮಹಾನಿವ ತೋಯದಃ||32||
ಆನುಪೂರ್ವೇಣ ವೃತ್ತಸ್ಯ ಲಾಙ್ಗೂಲಂ ಲೋಮಭಿಶ್ಚಿತಮ್|
ಉತ್ಪತಿಷ್ಯನ್ ವಿಚಿಕ್ಷೇಪ ಪಕ್ಷಿರಾಜ ಇವೋರಗಮ್ ||33||

ಸ||ತೇಷಾಂ ವಿಧ್ಯಾಧರಃ ತಪಸ್ವಿನಾಂ ವಚಃ ಶ್ರುತ್ವಾ ಪರ್ವತೇ ಅಪ್ರಮೇಯಂ ತಂ ವಾನರರರ್ಷಭಂ ದದ್ರುಶುಃ|| ಸುಮಹಾನ್ ಸಃ ಅಚಲೋಪಮಃ ರೋಮಾಣಿ ದುಧುವೇ (ತತಃ) ತೋಯದಃ ಇವ ಸುಮಹಾನಾದಂ ನನಾದ || ಪಕ್ಷಿರಾಜಃ ಉರಗಂ ಇವ ಲೋಮಭಿಃ ವೃತಂ ಚಿತಂ ಲಾಙ್ಗೂಲಂ ಆನುಪೂರ್ಯೇಣ ಉತ್ಪತಿಷ್ಯನ್ ವಿಚಿಕ್ಷೇಪ||

The Vidyadharas having heard the words of the ascetics, saw Hanuman the bull among Vanaras whose strength is unmeasurable. The great one as huge as a mountain shook his hair on his body and produced a great sound thundering like a cloud. Like the king of birds shaking a serpent, he shook his tail covered with hair in order to take off.

ಶ್ಲೋ|| ತಸ್ಯ ಲಾಙ್ಗೂಲಮಾವಿದ್ಧ ಮಾತ್ತ ವೇಗಸ್ಯ ಪೃಷ್ಠತಃ|
ದದೃಶೇ ಗರುಡೇ ನೇವ ಹ್ರಿಯಮಾಣೋ ಮಹೋರಗಃ ||34||
ಬಾಹೂಸಂಸ್ತಮ್ಭಯಾಮಾಸ ಮಹಾ ಪರಿಘ ಸನ್ನಿಭೌ |
ಸಸಾದ ಚ ಕಪಿಃ ಕಟ್ಯಾಂ ಚರಣೌ ಸಂಚುಕೋಚ ಚ||35||
ಸ|| ಆತ್ತವೇಗಸ್ಯ ತಸ್ಯ ಪೃಷ್ಠತಃ ಗರುಡೇನ ಹ್ರಿಯಮಾಣಃ ಮಹೋರಗಃ ಇವ ಲಾಙ್ಗೂಲಂ ಅವಿದ್ಧಂ|| ಕಪಿಃ ಮಹಾಪರಿಘಸನ್ನಿಭೌ ಬಾಹುಃ ಸಂಸ್ತಮ್ಭಯಾಮಾಸ ಕಟ್ಯಾಂ ಸಸಾದ ಚರಣೌ ಸಂಚುಕೋಚ ಚ ||

The tail curled at his back looked like the great serpent being carried off by Garuda. The Vanara pressing down his arms looking like iron clubs firmly on the mountain, crouched his waist and contracted his feet.

ಶ್ಲೋ|| ಸಂಹೃತ್ಯ ಚ ಭುಜೌ ಶ್ರೀಮಾನ್ ತಥೈವ ಚ ಶಿರೋಧರಾಮ್|
ತೇಜಃ ಸತ್ತ್ವಂ ತಥಾ ವೀರ್ಯ ಮಾವಿವೇಶ ಸ ವೀರ್ಯವಾನ್ ||36||
ಮಾರ್ಗಮಾಲೋಕಯನ್ ದೂರಾ ದೂರ್ಧ್ವಂ ಪ್ರಣಿಹಿತೇಕ್ಷಣಃ|
ರುರೋದ ಹೃದಯೇ ಪ್ರಾಣಾನ್ ಆಕಾಶಮವಲೋಕಯನ್ ||37||

ಸ|| ವೀರ್ಯವಾನ್ ಶ್ರೀಮಾನ್ ಹನುಮಾನ್ ಭುಜೌ ತಥೈವ ಶಿರೋಧರಾಮ್ ಸಂಹೃತ್ಯ ಸತ್ತ್ವಂ ತಥಾ ತೇಜಃ ಆವಿವೇಶ|| ಊರ್ಧ್ವಂ ಪ್ರಣಿಹಿತೇಕ್ಷಣಃ ದೂರಾತ್ ಆಕಾಶಂ ಮಾರ್ಗಂ ಅವಲೋಕಯನ್ ಪ್ರಾಣಾನ್ ಹೃದಯೇ ರುರೋದ||

The glorious Hanuman contracted his shoulders and the head similarly, and summoned up energy as well as vigor. Setting up his eyes to look up in the direction in which he has to leap , he restrained his breath in his chest.

ಶ್ಲೋ|| ಪದ್ಭ್ಯಾಂ ದೃಢಮವಸ್ಥಾನಂ ಕೃತ್ವಾ ಸ ಕಪಿಕುಂಜರಃ|
ನಿಕುಞ್ಚ್ಯ ಕರ್ಣೌ ಹನುಮಾನ್ ಉತ್ಪತಿಷ್ಯನ್ ಮಹಾಬಲಃ|
ವಾನರಾನ್ ವಾನರಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠ ಇದಂ ವಚನ ಮಬ್ರವೀತ್ |||38||

ಸ|| ಕಪಿಕುಂಜರಃ ಮಹಾಬಲಃ ಪದ್ಭ್ಯಾಂ ದೃಢಂ ಅವಸ್ಥಾನಮ್ ಕರ್ಣೌ ನಿಕುಂಚ್ಯ ಉತ್ಪತಿಷ್ಯನ್ (ಕಿಂ ಕರೋತಿ?) ವಾನರಾನ್ ವಾನರಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠಂ ಇದಂ ವಚನಂ ಅಬ್ರವೀತ್ ||

The elephant among the Vanaras, keeping his feet firmly in that position, contracting his ears, ready to fly said the following to the Vanaras.

ಶ್ಲೋ|| ಯಥಾ ರಾಘವ ನಿರ್ಮುಕ್ತಃ ಶ್ಶರಶ್ಶ್ವಸನ ವಿಕ್ರಮಃ |
ಗಚ್ಛೇತ್ತದ್ವದ್ಗಮಿಷ್ಯಾಮಿ ಲಙ್ಕಾಂ ರಾವಣಪಾಲಿತಾಮ್||39||
ನ ಹಿ ದ್ರಕ್ಷ್ಯಾಮಿ ಯದಿ ತಾಂ ಲಙ್ಕಾಯಾಂ ಜನಕಾತ್ಮಜಾಮ್||
ಅನೇನೈವ ಹಿ ವೇಗೇನ ಗಮಿಷ್ಯಾಮಿ ಸುರಾಲಯಮ್ ||40||

ಸ|| ಯಥಾ ರಾಘವ ನಿರ್ಮುಕ್ತಃ ಶರಃ ಗಚ್ಛೇತ್ ತದ್ವತ್ ಶ್ವಸನ ವಿಕ್ರಮಃ ರಾವಣಪಾಲಿತಾಮ್ ಲಙ್ಕಾಂ ಗಮಿಷ್ಯಾಮಿ||(ಯದಿ) ಲಙ್ಕಾಯಾಂ ತಾಂ ಜನಕಾತ್ಮಜಂ ನ ದ್ರಕ್ಷ್ಯಾಮಿ ಅನೇನ ವೇಗೇನೈವ ಹಿ ಸುರಾಲಯಂ ಗಮಿಷ್ಯಾಮಿ ||

With the speed of wind, like the arrow released by Rama (I) will go the Lanka ruled by Ravana. If I do not see Janaka's daughter in Lanka, then with the same speed I will go to the abode of gods,

ಶ್ಲೋ|| ಯದಿ ವಾ ತ್ರಿದಿವೇ ಸೀತಾಂ ನ ದ್ರಕ್ಷ್ಯಾ ಮ್ಯಕೃತ ಶ್ರಮಃ|
ಬದ್ದ್ವಾ ರಾಕ್ಷಸ ರಾಜಾನಂ ಆನಯಿಷ್ಯಾಮಿ ಸರಾವಣಮ್||41||
ಸರ್ವಥಾ ಕೃತಕಾರ್ಯೋಽಹಂ ಏಷ್ಯಾಮಿ ಸಹ ಸೀತಯಾ |
ಆನಯಿಷ್ಯಾಮಿ ವಾ ಲಙ್ಕಾಂ ಸಮುತ್ಪಾಟ್ಯ ಸ ರಾವಣಮ್||42||

ಸ|| ಯದಿ ತ್ರಿದಿವೇ ಸೀತಾಂ ನದ್ರಕ್ಷ್ಯಾಮಿ (ತದಾ) ಅಕೃತ ಶ್ರಮಃ ರಾಕ್ಷಸ ರಾಜಾನಂ ಸ ರಾಕ್ಷಸಂ ಬದ್ಧ್ವಾ ಆನಯಿಷ್ಯಾಮಿ|| ಸರ್ವಥಾ ಕೃತ ಕಾರ್ಯಃ ಸಹ ಸೀತಯಾ ಅಹಂ ಏಷ್ಯಾಮಿ | ವಾ ಲಙ್ಕಾಂ ಸ ರಾವಣಮ್ ಸಮುತ್ಪಾಟ್ಯ ಆನಯಿಷ್ಯಾಮಿ ||

If I do not find Sita in heaven in spite of all my efforts, then I will bind that king of Rakshasas and bring him here. By all means completing my task I will come back here along with Sita. Otherwise I will uproot Lanka along with Ravana and bring him here l

ಶ್ಲೋ|| ಏವಮುಕ್ತ್ವಾತು ಹನುಮಾನ್ ವಾನರಾನ್ ವಾನರೋತ್ತಮಃ |
ಉತ್ಪಪಾಥ ವೇಗೇನ ವೇಗವಾನ್ ಅವಿಚಾರಯನ್ ||43||
ಸುಪರ್ಣಮಿವ ಚ ಆತ್ಮಾನಂ ಮೇನೇ ಸ ಕಪಿಕುಂಜರಃ ||44||

ಸ|| ಏವಂ ಉಕ್ತ್ವಾ ವಾನರಾನ್ ವಾನರೋತ್ತಮಃ ಹನುಮಾನ್ ವೇಗವಾನ್ ವೇಗೇನ ಅವಿಚಾರಯನ್ ಉತ್ಪಪಾಥ|| ಸಃ ಕಪಿಕುಂಜರಃ ಆತ್ಮಾನಂ ಸುಪರ್ಣಮಿವ ಮೇನೇ||

Having said this to Vanaras the best among Vanaras, the swift Hanuman leaped without any effort. The elephant among Vanaras thought himself like the bird Suparna.

ಶ್ಲೋ|| ಸಮುತ್ಪತತಿ ತಸ್ಮಿಂಸ್ತು ವೇಗಾತ್ತೇ ನಗ ರೋಹಿಣಃ|
ಸಂಹೃತ್ಯ ವಿಟಪಾನ್ ಸರ್ವಾನ್ ಸಮುತ್ಪೇತುಃ ಸಮಂತತಃ||45||
ಸ ಮತ್ತಕೋಯಷ್ಟಿಮಕಾನ್ ಪಾದಪಾನ್ ಪುಷ್ಪಶಾಲಿನಃ |
ಉದ್ವಹನ್ನೂರುವೇಗೇನ ಜಗಾಮ ವಿಮಲೇಽಮ್ಬರೇ ||46||

ಸ|| (ಯದಾ) ತಸ್ಮಿನ್ ವೇಗಾತ್ ಸಮುತ್ಪತತಿ (ತದಾ) ಸರ್ವಾನ್ ನಗರೋಹಿಣಃ ವಿಟಪಾನ್ ಸಂಹೃತ್ಯ ಸಮಂತತಃ ಸಮುತ್ಪೇತುಃ|| ಪುಷ್ಪಶಾಲಿನಃ ಪಾದಪಾನ್ ಊರು ವೇಗೇನ ಮತ್ತಕೋಯಷ್ಟಿಮಕಾನ್ ಉದ್ವಹನ್ ಸಃ ವಿಮಲೇ ಅಂಬರೇ ಜಗಾಮ||

As he took off with speed, all the trees with branches flew along with him. The speed of his thighs uprooted the trees full of flowers along with the intoxicated birds on the tree as he coursed along the cloudless sky.

ಶ್ಲೋ|| ಊರು ವೇಗೋದ್ಧತಾ ವೃಕ್ಷಾ ಮುಹೂರ್ತಂ ಕಪಿ ಮನ್ವಯುಃ|
ಪ್ರಸ್ಥಿತಂ ದೀರ್ಘಮಧ್ವಾನಂ ಸ್ವಬನ್ಧುಮಿವ ಬಾನ್ಧವಾಃ||47||
ತ ಮೂರು ವೇಗೋನ್ಮಥಿತಾ ಸ್ಸಾಲಾಶ್ಚಾನ್ಯೇ ನಗೋತ್ತಮಾಃ|
ಅನುಜಗ್ಮುರ್ಹನೂಮನ್ತಂ ಸೈನ್ಯಾ ಇವ ಮಹೀಪತಿಮ್||48||

ಸ|| ಊರುವೇಗೋಥ್ಥಿತಾಃ ವೃಕ್ಷಾಃ ಸ್ವಬನ್ಧುಂ ದೀರ್ಘಮಧ್ವಾನಂ ಪ್ರಸ್ಥಿತಂ ಬಾನ್ಧವಾಃ ಇವ ಮುಹೂರ್ತಮ್ ಅನ್ವಯುಃ||ಊರುವೇಗೋನ್ಮಥಿತಾಃ ಸಾಲಾಃ ಅನ್ಯೇ ನಗೋತ್ತಮಾಃ ಮಹೀಪತಿಂ ಸೈನ್ಯಾ ಇವ ತಂ ಹನೂಮನ್ತಂ ಅನುಜಗ್ಮುಃ||

Pulled along by the speed of his thighs, the trees followed for a distance like the relatives follow the kin on a long journey. Uprooted by the force of his thighs, Sala trees and other great trees followed him like the army following the king.

ಶ್ಲೋ|| ಸುಪುಷಿತಾಗ್ರೈರ್ಭಹುಭಿಃ ಪಾದಪೈರನ್ವಿತಃ ಕಪಿಃ |
ಹನುಮಾನ್ ಪರ್ವತಾಕಾರೋ ಭಭೂವಾದ್ಭುತ ದರ್ಶನಃ||49||
ಸಾರವನ್ತೋಽಧಯೇ ವೃಕ್ಷಾನ್ಯಮಜ್ಜನ್ ಲವಣಾಂಭಸಿ|
ಭಯಾದಿವ ಮಹೇನ್ದ್ರಸ್ಯ ಪರ್ವತಾ ವರುಣಾಲಯೇ ||50||

ಸ||ಬಹುಭಿಃ ಸುಪುಷ್ಪಿತಾಗ್ರೈಃ ಪಾದಪೈಃ ಅನ್ವಿತಃ ಕಪಿಃ ಹನುಮಾನ್ ಪರ್ವತಾಕಾರಃ ಅದ್ಭುತ ದರ್ಶನಃ ಬಭೂವ||ಅಥ ಸಾರವನ್ತಃ ಯೇ ವೃಕ್ಷಾಃ ವರುಣಾಲಯೇ ಪರ್ವತಾಃ ಮಹೇನ್ದ್ರಸ್ಯ ಭಯಾತ್ ಇವ ಲವಣಾಂಭಸಿ ನ್ಯಮಜ್ಜನ್||

With many trees having blossoms at the top following him, the Vanara, mountain like Hanuman appeared in a fantastic form. Then the huge trees fell into the ocean like the mountains which fell into the sea out of fear of Indra.

ಶ್ಲೋ|| ಸ ನಾನಾ ಕುಸುಮೈಃ ಕೀರ್ಣಃ ಕಪಿಃ ಸಾಙ್ಕುರ ಕೋರಕೈಃ|
ಶುಶುಭೇ ಮೇಘ ಸಙ್ಕಾಶಃ ಖದ್ಯೋತೈರಿವ ಪರ್ವತಃ ||51||
ವಿಮುಕ್ತಾಃ ತಸ್ಯ ವೇಗೇನ ಮುಕ್ತ್ವಾ ಪುಷ್ಪಾಣಿ ತೇ ದ್ರುಮಾಃ |
ಅವಶೀರ್ಯನ್ತ ಸಲಿಲೇ ನಿವೃತ್ತಾಃ ಸುಹೃದೋ ಯಥಾ ||52||

ಸ|| ನಾನಾ ಕುಸುಮೈಃ ಸಾಙ್ಕುರ ಕೋರಕೈಃ ಕೀರ್ಣಃ ಸಃ ಮೇಘ ಸಙ್ಕಾಶಃ ಕಪಿಃ ಖದ್ಯೋತೈಃ ಪರ್ವತಃ ಇವ ಶುಶುಭೇ|| ತಸ್ಯ ವೇಗೇನ ವಿಮುಕ್ತಾಃ ತೇ ದ್ರುಮಾಃ ಪುಷ್ಪಾಣಿ ಚ ಮುಕ್ತ್ವಾ ಸಲಿಲೇ ಅವಶೀರ್ಯನ್ತ ಯಥಾ ನಿವೃತ್ತಾಃ ಸುಹೃದಾ (ಇವ)||

Covered with many different kinds of flowers , buds and sprouts spread over like a cloud, Hanuman shone brightly like a mountain covered with fireflies. Free of his speed the trees shedding the flowers fell off into the sea like the friends who return after following for some distance.

ಶ್ಲೋ|| ಲಘುತ್ವೇ ನೋಪಪನ್ನಂ ತದ್ವಿಚಿತ್ರಂ ಸಾಗರೇಽಪತತ್ |
ದ್ರುಮಾಣಾಂ ವಿವಿಥಮ್ ಪುಷ್ಪಂ ಕಪಿವಾಯು ಸಮೀರಿತಮ್||53||
ತಾರಾಶತ ಮಿವಾಕಾಶಂ ಪ್ರಭಭೌ ಸ ಮಹಾರ್ಣವಃ|

ಸ|| ಕಪಿವಾಯುಸಮೀರಿತಂ ದ್ರುಮಾಣಾಂ ವಿವಿಧಂ ವಿಚಿತ್ರಂ ಪುಷ್ಪಂ ಲಘುತ್ವೇ ತತ್ ಸಾಗರೇ ಅಪತತ್ || ಲಘುತ್ವೇನ ಉಪಪನ್ನಂ (ಪುಷ್ಪೇಣ) ತತ್ ಮಹರ್ಣವಃ ತಾರಾಚಿತಂ ಆಕಾಶಮಿವ ಪ್ರಭಬೌ||

Driven by the wind caused by the speed of the Vanara, the trees with variety of flowers being light fell on the ocean. The trees and flowers being light rose up in the sea and the sea shone like the sky with stars.

ಶ್ಲೋ|| ಪುಷ್ಪೌಘೇ ನಾನುಬದ್ಧೇನ ನಾನಾವರ್ಣೇನ ವಾನರಃ |
ಬಭೌ ಮೇಘ ಇವಾಕಾಶೇ ವಿದ್ಯುದ್ಗಣ ವಿಭೂಷಿತಃ|||54||
ತಸ್ಯ ವೇಗ ಸಮಧೂತೈಃ ಪುಷ್ಪೈಃ ತೋಯಮದೃಶ್ಯತ ||55||
ತಾರಾಭಿ ರಭಿರಾಮಾಭಿ ರುದಿತಾಭಿ ರಿವಾಮ್ಬರಮ್|

ಸ|| ನಾನಾವರ್ಣೇನ (ಪುಷ್ಪೇಣ) ಪುಷ್ಪೌಘೇಣ ಅನುಬದ್ಧೇನ ಸಃ ವಾನರಃ ಆಕಾಶೇ ವಿದ್ಯುತ್‍ಗಣ ವಿಭೂಷಿತಃ ಮೇಘ ಇವ ಬಭೌ||ತಸ್ಯ ವೇಗ ಸಮಾಧೂತೈಃ ಪುಷ್ಪೈಃ ತೋಯಃ ಅದೃಶ್ಯತ (ಯಥಾ..) ಉದಿತಾಭಿಃ ಅಭಿರಾಮಾಭಿಃ ತಾರಾಭಿಃ ಅಮ್ಬರಂ ಇವ||

Stuck with flowers of different colors , the Vanara looked like the clouds glowing with lightnings. The sea water, with the flowers dropped by his speed, looked like the firmament with rising stars.

ಪಿಬನ್ನಿವ ಬಭೌ ಚಾಪಿ ಸೋರ್ಮಿಮಾಲಂ ಮಹಾರ್ಣವಮ್||57||
ಪಿಪಾಸು ರಿವ ಚಾಕಾಶಂ ದದೃಶೇ ಸ ಮಹಾಕಪಿಃ |

The arms stretched out in the sky emerging from the mountain looked like five headed serpents. The great Vanara looked like a thirsty one drinking the sea with rising waves , also the sky.

ಸ|| ವಾಯುಮಾರ್ಗಾನುಸಾರಿಣಃ ತಸ್ಯ ವಿದ್ಯುತ್ಪ್ರಭಾಕಾರೇ ನಯನೇ ಪರ್ವತಸ್ಥೌ ಅನಲೌ ಇವ ವಿಪ್ರಕಾಶೇತೇ|| ಪಿಙ್ಗಾಕ್ಷಮುಖ್ಯಸ್ಯ ಪಿಙ್ಗೇ ಬೃಹತೀ ಪರಿಮಂಡಲೇ ಚಕ್ಷುಷೀ ಉದಿತೌ ಚಂದ್ರ ಸೂರ್ಯಾವಿವ ಸಂಪ್ರಕಾಶೇತೇ||

Following the path of the winds, his eyes resembling glow of lightning, looked like two fires burning on the mountain. The large reddish brown eyes of the Vanara chief shone like the rising Sun and Moon.

His copper colored face with red nose with the twilight coming close looked like the Sun's orb. The lifted up tail of the son of wind god shone like the flag staff of Indra.

ಸ|| ಶುಕ್ಲದಂಷ್ಟ್ರಃ ಮಹಾಪ್ರಾಜ್ಞಃ ಮಹಾನ್ ಅನಿಲಾತ್ಮಜಃ ಲಾಂಗೂಲ ಚಕ್ರೇಣಾ ಪರಿವೇಷೀವ ಭಾಸ್ಕರಃ ಇವ ವ್ಯರೋಚತ|| ಸಃ ಮಹಾಕಪಿ ಅಭಿತಾಮ್ರೇಣ ಸ್ಫಿಗ್ದೇಶೇನ ದಾರಿತೇನ ಇವಮಹತಾ ಗೈರಿಕ ಧಾತುನಾ ಗಿರಿಃ ಇವ ರರಾಜ||

With white teeth, the very wise son of Vayu, with curled up tail looked like the Sun covered with halo. The great Vanara with copper red buttocks shone like a mountain filled with deposits of red minerals.

ಸ|| ಸಾಗರಮ್ ಪ್ಲವಮಾನಸ್ಯ ವಾನರಸಿಂಹಸ್ಯ ಕಕ್ಷಾಂತರಗತಃ ವಾಯುಃ ಜೀಮೂತಃ ಇವ ಗರ್ಜತಿ||ಉತ್ತರಾನ್ತಾತ್ ವಿನಿಃಸ್ರುತಾ ಸಾನುಬನ್ಧಾಚ ಉಲ್ಕಾ ಖೇ ಯಥಾ ದೃಶ್ಯತೇ ತಥಾ ನಿಪತತಿ||

The air passing through the arm pits of the lion among Vanaras crossing the ocean sounded like a thundering cloud. The elephant like Vanara appeared like a meteor released from the northern part following a path in the sky falling down ( in the southern hemisphere).

ಸ||ಪತತ್ಪತಂಗ ಸಂಕಾಶಃ ವ್ಯಾಯತಃ ಕಪಿಃ ಬಧ್ಯಮಾನಯಾ ಕಕ್ಷ್ಯಯಾ ಪ್ರವೃದ್ಧಃ ಮಾತಂಗಃ ಇವ ಶುಶುಭೇ||ತದಾ ಕಪಿಃ ಉಪರಿಷ್ಟಾತ್ ಶರೀರೇಣ ಸಾಗರೇ ಅವಗಾಢಯಾ ಛಾಯಯಾ ಚ ಮಾರುತಾವಿಷ್ಟ ನೌರಿ ಇವ ಆಸೀತ್||

Looking like the moving sun coursing through the sky, the broad Vanara with tail bound around his girth looked like an elephant bound round the waist. With Vanara on the top, his shadow on the ocean looked like a ship swept by the wind.

ಸ|| ಸಃ ಮಹಾಕಪಿಃ ಸಮುದ್ರಸ್ಯ ಯಂ ಯಂ ದೇಶಂ ಜಗಾಮ ಸಃ ಸಃ ತಸ್ಯ ಊರುವೇಗೇನ ಸೋನ್ಮಾದಃ ಇವ ಲಕ್ಷ್ಯತೇ||(ಯದಾ) ಸಃ ಮಹಾವೇಗಃ ಕಪಿಃ ಪುಪ್ಲುವೇ (ತದಾ) ಸಾಗರಸ್ಯ ಊರ್ಮಿಜಾಲನಾಂ ಶೈಲವರ್ಷಣಾಮ್ ಉರಸಾ ಅಭಿಘ್ನನ್||

Whichever place over which he flew those places ( in the ocean) appeared as riotous with eddies being formed because of the speed of his thighs. As the Vanara flew with high speed then the oceanic waves seemed to rise up to mountainous proportions as though touching his chest.

ಸ||ಬಲವಾನ್ ಕಪಿವಾತಸ್ಯ ನಿಃ ಸೃತಃ ಮೇಘವಾತಃ ಚ ಭೀಮ ನಿರ್ಘೋಷಂ (ಚ) ಸಾಗರಂ ಭೃಶಂ ಕಮ್ಪಯಾಮಾಸತುಃ ||(ಯದಾ) ಕಪಿಶಾರ್ದೂಲಃ ಪುಪ್ಲುವೇ (ತದಾ) ಲವಣಾಮ್ಭಸಿ ಊರ್ಮಿಜಾಲಾನಿ ವಿಕರ್ಷನ್ ವಿಕರನ್ನಿವ ರೋದಸೀ||

The forceful wind generated by the mighty Vanara, which was rushing towards the wind generated by the clouds which were agitating the ocean violently, generated dreadful sounds. As the tiger among the Vanaras flew forward, it looked like he is occupying the intermediary space between the sky and the earth.

ಸ||ಮಹಾವೇಗಃ ಮಹಾರ್ಣವೇ ಉದ್ಧತಾನ್ ಮೇರುಮಂದರ ಸಙ್ಕಾಶಾನ್ ತರಙ್ಗಾನ್ ಗಣಯನ್ ಇವ ಸಃ ಅತ್ಯಕ್ರಾಮತ್ || ತದಾ ತಸ್ಯ ವೇಗ ಸಮುದ್ಧತಮ್ ಸಜಲದಮ್ ಜಲಂ ಅಮ್ಬರಸ್ಥಮ್ ಆತತಮ್ ಶಾರದಾಭ್ರಮಿವ ವಿಬಭ್ರಾಜ ||

The Hanuman who is travelling at high speed seemed to be counting the mighty waves like Meru and Mandara as he crossed. The waters pushed up by his speed, along with the clouds in the sky shone like out stretched autumnal clouds.

ವ್ಯೋಮ್ನಿತಂ ಕಪಿಶಾರ್ದೂಲಂ ಸುಪರ್ಣ ಇತಿ ಮೇನಿರೇ |

ಸ|| ತದಾ ತಿಮಿನಕ್ರಝುಷಾಃ ಕೂರ್ಮಾಃ ವಸ್ತ್ರಾಪಕರ್ಷಣೇನ ಶರೀರಿಣಾಂ ಶರೀರಾಣೀವ ವಿವೃತಾಃ ದೃಶ್ಯನ್ತೇ|| ಅಥ ವ್ಯೋಮ್ನಿ ಪ್ಲವಮಾನಂ ತಂ ಸಮೀಕ್ಷ್ಯ ಸಾಗರಾಲಯಾಃ ಭುಜಂಗಾಃ (ತಂ) ಕಪಿಶಾರ್ದೂಲಂ ಸುಪರ್ಣಃ ಇತಿ ಮೇನಿರೇ ||

Then the whales crocodiles and tortoises appeared bare like bodies without clothes . Seeing Hanuman the tiger among Vanaras, coursing through the sky the serpents in the ocean thought him to be Garuda.

ತಸ್ಯ ಸಾ ಶುಶುಭೇ ಛಾಯಾ ವಿತತಾ ಲವಣಾಂಭಸಿ|

ಸ|| ದಶಯೋಜನ ವಿಸ್ತೀರ್ಣಾ ತ್ರಿಂಶತ್ ಯೋಜನಮ್ ಆಯತಾ ವಾನರಸಿಂಹಸ್ಯ ಛಾಯಾ ಜಲೇ ಚಾರುತರಾ ಅಭವತ್||ವಾಯುಪುತ್ರಾನುಗಾಮಿನೀ ಲವಣಾಂಭಸಿ ವಿತತಾ ತಸ್ಯ ಸಾ ಛಾಯಾ ಶ್ವೇತಾಭ್ರಘನರಾಜೀವ ಶುಶುಭೇ ||

The ten Yojana wide thirty Yojana long Vanaras shadow appeared more pleasing. The broad shadow of the son of wind god , following him shone like a dark row of clouds sailing in the sky.

ತೇನ ಮಾರ್ಗೇಣ ಸಹಸಾ ದ್ರೋಣೀಕೃತ ಇವಾರ್ಣವಃ|

ಸ||ಮಹಾತೇಜಃ ಮಹಾಕಾಯಃ ಸಃ ಮಹಾಕಪಿಃ ನಿರಾಲಂಬೇ ವಾಯುಮಾರ್ಗೇ ಪಕ್ಷವಾನ್ ಪರ್ವತ ಇವ ಶುಶುಭೇ|| ಬಲವಾನ್ ಅಸೌ ಕಪಿಕುಞ್ಜರಃ ವೇಗೇನ ಯೇನ ಮಾರ್ಗೇಣ ಯಾತಿ ತೇನ ಸಹಸಾ ಅರ್ಣವಃ ದ್ರೋಣೀಕೃತ ಇವ ( ಅದೃಶ್ಯತ್)

Glorious Vanara with great body coursing through the skies without any support looked like a mountain with wings. As this powerful Vanara who is like elephant among Vanaras, was proceeding swiftly along, the ocean below looked instantly like a valley between two mountains ( by the force of the winds generated by his flight).

ಸ|| ಹನುಮಾನ್ ಮಾರುತೋ ಯಥಾ ಮೇಘಜಾಲಾನಿ ಪ್ರಕರ್ಷನ್ ಪಕ್ಷಿ ಸಂಘಾನಾಮ್ ಆಪಾತೇ ವ್ರಜನ್ ಪಕ್ಷಿರಾಜ ಇವ|| (??) ಕಪಿನಾ ಅಕೃಷ್ಯಮಾಣಾನಿ ಪಾಣ್ಡುರಾರುಣ ವರ್ಣಾನಿ ನೀಲಮಾಂಜಿಷ್ಠಕಾನಿ ಮಹಾಭ್ರಾಣಿ ಚಕಾಶಿರೇ||

Hanuman like the wind pulling along clouds with him looked like the king of birds attracting flocks of birds while landing. The Vanara while drawing large clouds of white or red blue or yellow looked charming.

ವವರ್ಷುಃ ಪುಷ್ಪವರ್ಷಾಣಿ ದೇವ ಗನ್ಧರ್ವ ದಾನವಾಃ |

ಸ|| ಅಭ್ರಜಾಲಾನಿ ಪುನಃ ಪುನಃ ಪ್ರವಿಶನ್ ನಿಷ್ಪತಂಶ್ಚ ಪ್ರಚ್ಛನ್ನಶ್ಚಪ್ರಕಾಶಶ್ಚ ಚನ್ದ್ರಮಾಇವ ಲಕ್ಷ್ಯತೇ||ತದಾ ತ್ವರಿತಂ ಪ್ಲವಮಾನಂ ತಂ ಪ್ಲವಂಗಂ ದೃಷ್ಟ್ವಾ ದೇವಗನ್ಧರ್ವ ದಾನವಾಃ ಪುಷ್ಪವರ್ಷಾಣಿ ವವರ್ಷುಃ||

Entering and leaving strings of clouds, he looked like the moon that appears and disappears. Then seeing Hanuman crossing the ocean quickly the Devas. Gandharvas, Danavas showered flowers on him.

ಜಗುಶ್ಚ ದೇವ ಗನ್ಧರ್ವಾಃ ಪ್ರಶಂಸಂತೋ ಮಹೋಜಸಮ್ |

ಸ||ತದಾ ರಾಮಕಾರ್ಯಾರ್ಥಂ ಪ್ಲವಂತಂ ತಂ ವಾನರೋತ್ತಮಂ ಸೂರ್ಯಃ ನ ತತಾಪ ವಾಯುಃ ಚ ಶಿಷೇವೇ || ವಿಹಾಯಸಾ ಪ್ಲವಮಾನಂ ಮಹೌಜಸಂ ಋಷಯಃ ಏನಂ ತುಷ್ಟುವುಃ ಚ ದೇವ ಗನ್ಧರ್ವಾಃ ಪ್ರಶಂಸಂತೋ ಜಗುಃ ಚ||

The Vanara coursing through the skies to achieve the purpose of Rama , is not troubled by the Sun's heat and even the wind served his purpose. The flying Hanuman was extolled by sages and the delighted Devas and Gandharvas praised him and sang too.

ಇಕ್ಷ್ವಾಕುಕುಲ ಮಾನಾರ್ಥೀ ಚಿನ್ತಯಾಮಾಸ ಸಾಗರಃ|

ಸ|| ವಿಗತಕ್ಲಮಮ್ ಕಪಿವರಮ್ ಪ್ರೇಕ್ಷ್ಯ ಸಹಸಾ ಸರ್ವೇ ನಾಗಾಃ ಯಕ್ಷಾಃ ರಕ್ಷಾಂಸಿ ವಿಬುಧಾಃ ಖಗಾಃ ಚ ತುಷ್ಟುವುಃ||ಪ್ಲವಗಶಾರ್ದೂಲೇ ತಸ್ಮಿನ್ ಹನೂಮತಿ ಪ್ಲವಮಾನೇ ಸಾಗರಃ ಇಕ್ಷ್ವಾಕುಕುಲಮಾನಾರ್ಥೀ ಚಿನ್ತಯಾಮಾಸ||

Seeing the untiring Hanuman the all the Nagas Yakshas, Rakshasas , learned ones, as well as all other birds praised him. While the tiger among Vanaras was flying across the ocean , the ocean who wishes well for the Ikshavakus started thinking.

ಕರಿಷ್ಯಾಮಿ ಭವಿಷ್ಯಾಮಿ ಸರ್ವ ವಾಚ್ಯೋ ವಿವಕ್ಷತಾಮ್|
ಅಹಮಿಕ್ಷ್ವಾಕು ನಾಥೇನ ಸಗರೇಣ ವಿವರ್ಥಿತಃ||89||
ಇಕ್ಷ್ವಾಕು ಸಚಿವಶ್ಚಾಯಂ ನಾವಸೀದಿತು ಮರ್ಹತಿ |
ತಥಾ ಮಯಾ ವಿಧಾತವ್ಯಂ ವಿಶ್ರಮೇತ ಯಥಾ ಕಪಿಃ||90||
ಶೇಷಂ ಚ ಮಯಿ ವಿಶ್ರಾಂತ ಸ್ಸುಖೇನಾತಿ ಪತಿಷ್ಯತಿ |

ಸ|| ಯದಿ ಅಹಂ ವಾನರೇನ್ದ್ರಸ್ಯ ಹನೂಮತಃ ಸಹಾಯ್ಯಂ ನ ಕರಿಷ್ಯಾಮಿ (ತದಿ) ವಿವಕ್ಷತಾಮ್ ಸರ್ವವಾಚ್ಯಃ ಭವಿಷ್ಯಾಮಿ||ಅಹಂ ಇಕ್ಷ್ವಾಕುನಾಥೇನ ಸಗರೇಣ ವಿವರ್ಧಿತಃ | ಅಯಂ ಇಕ್ಷ್ವಾಕು ಸಚಿವಃ ಚ ಅವಸೀದಿತುಂ ನ ಅರ್ಹತಿ||ಯಥಾ ಕಪಿಃ ವಿಶ್ರಮೇತ ತಥಾ ಮಯಾ ವಿಧಾತವ್ಯಮ್| ಮಯಿ ವಿಶ್ರಾನ್ತಃ ಸುಖೇನ ಅತಿಪತಿಷ್ಯತಿ||

If I do not help the leader of the Vanaras , all the wise ones will forever blame me. I have been nurtured by Sagara, the Ikshwaku king. This Vanara being a minister of Ikshwakus, it is my duty to help him. I should help so that he can get rest. Resting on me he will leap over easily.

ಇತಿ ಕೃತ್ವಾ ಮತಿಂ ಸಾಧ್ವೀಂ ಸಮುದ್ರಶ್ಚನ್ನಮಂಭಸಿ ||91||
ಹಿರಣ್ಯ ನಾಭಂ ಮೈನಾಕಂ ಉವಾಚ ಗಿರಿಸತ್ತಮಮ್ |
ತ್ವಮಿಹಾಸುರಸಂಘಾನಾಂ ಪಾತಾಳತಲವಾಸಿನಾಮ್ ||92||
ದೇವರಾಜ್ಞಾ ಗಿರಿಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠ ಪರಿಘಸ್ಸನ್ನಿವೇಶಿತಃ |

ಸ|| ಸಮುದ್ರಃ ಇತಿ ಸಾಧ್ವೀಂ ಮತಿಂ ಕೃತ್ವಾ ಅಂಭಸಿ ಚ್ಛನ್ನಂ ಹಿರಣ್ಯನಾಭಂ ಗಿರಿಸತ್ತಮಮ್ ಮೈನಾಕಂ ಉವಾಚ||ಗಿರಿಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠ ತ್ವಂ ಇಹ ಪಾತಾಳತಲವಾಸಿನಾಂ ಅಸುರ ಸಂಘಾನಾಮ್ ಪರಿಘಃ ಇವ ದೇವರಾಜ್ಞಾ ಸನ್ನಿವೇಶಿತಃ||

The Sagara having made up his mind , spoke to the best of mountains hidden in the waters. ' Oh Best of mountains ! You are here as a barrier for the legions of Asura groups who are the residents of the nether world.'

ಶ್ಲೋ|| ತ್ವ ಮೇಷಾಂ ಜಾತ ವೀರ್ಯಾಣಾಂ ಪುನರೇವೋತ್ಪತಿಷ್ಯತಾಮ್ ||93||
ಪಾತಾಳ ಸ್ಯಾಪ್ರಮೇಯಸ್ಯ ದ್ವಾರಮಾವೃತ್ಯ ತಿಷ್ಠಸಿ |
ತಿರ್ಯಗ್ ಊರ್ಧ್ವಂ ಅಧಶ್ಚೈವ ಶಕ್ತಿಃ ತೇ ಶೈಲವರ್ಥಿತುಮ್||94||
ತಸ್ಮಾತ್ ಸಂಚೋದಯಾಮಿ ತ್ವಾಂ ಉತ್ತಿಷ್ಠ ಗಿರಿಸತ್ತಮ|

ಸ||ಜಾತ ವೀರ್ಯಾಣಾಂ ಏಷಾಮ್ ಪುನರೇವ ಉತ್ಪತಿಷ್ಯತಾಂ ತ್ವಂ ಅಪ್ರಮೇಯಸ್ಯ ಪಾತಾಳಸ್ಯ ದ್ವಾರಂ ಆವೃತ್ಯ ತಿಷ್ಠಸಿ||ಶೈಲ ತೇ ತಿರ್ಯಕ್ ಊರ್ಧ್ವಂ ಅಧಶ್ಚೈವ ವರ್ಧಿತುಂ ಶಕ್ತಿಃ (ಅಸ್ತಿ) | ತಸ್ಮಾತ್ ಗಿರಿಸತ್ತಮ ತ್ವಾಂ ಸಂಚೋದಯಾಮಿ ಉತ್ತಿಷ್ಠ ||

' You are staying at the entrance preventing these powerful demons from coming up again. Oh Mountain you have the power to grow upwards or downwards or across. Hence Oh best of mountains !, I am asking you to rise'.

ಹನುಮಾನ್ ರಾಮಕಾರ್ಯಾರ್ಥಂ ಭೀಮಕರ್ಮಾ ಖಮಾಪ್ಲುತಃ|
ಅಸ್ಯ ಸಾಹ್ಯಂ ಮಯಾ ಕಾರ್ಯಂ ಇಕ್ಷ್ವಾಕುಕುಲವರ್ತಿನಃ||96||
ಮಮ ಹೀಕ್ಷ್ವಾಕವಃ ಪೂಜ್ಯಾಃ ಪರಂ ಪೂಜ್ಯತಮಾಸ್ತವ |

ಸ|| ಕಪಿಶಾರ್ದೂಲಃ ವೀರ್ಯವಾನ್ ಭೀಮಕರ್ಮಾ ಸ ಏಷಃ ಹನುಮಾನ್ ರಾಮಕಾರ್ಯಾರ್ಥಂ ತ್ವಾಂ ಉಪರಿ ಏತಿ ಖಮ್ ಆಪ್ಲುತಃ ||ಇಕ್ಷ್ವಾಕುಕುಲವರ್ತಿನಃ ಅಸ್ಯ ಸಾಹ್ಯಂ ಮಯಾ ಕಾರ್ಯಂ | ಇಕ್ಷ್ವಾಕವಃ ಮಮಪೂಜ್ಯಾಃ ಹಿ | ತವ ಪೂಜ್ಯತಮಾಃ||

' This Hanuman , a mighty Vanara, tiger among Vanaras , performer of dreadful actions, is flying over you in the skies for accomplishing Rama's tasks. Helping this one who serves the Ikshvaku line is my duty. The Ikshavakus are worthy of adoration. To you also ( they are ) most adorable'.

ಶ್ಲೋ|| ಕುರುಸಾಚಿವ್ಯ ಮಸ್ಮಾಕಂ ನ ನಃ ಕಾರ್ಯ ಮತಿಕ್ರಮೇತ್ ||97||
ಕರ್ತವ್ಯಂ ಅಕೃತಂ ಕಾರ್ಯಂ ಸತಾಂ ಮನ್ಯುಮುದೀರಯೇತ್ |
ಸಲಿಲಾತ್ ಊರ್ಧ್ವಂ ಉತ್ತಿಷ್ಠ ತಿಷ್ಠತ್ವೇಷ ಕಪಿಸ್ತ್ವಯಿ ||98||
ಅಸ್ಮಾಕಂ ಅತಿಥಿಶ್ಚೈವ ಪೂಜ್ಯಶ್ಚ ಪ್ಲವತಾಂ ವರಃ|

ಸ|| ಅಸ್ಮಾಕಂ ಸಾಚಿವ್ಯಂ ಕುರು | ನಃ ಕಾರ್ಯಂ ಕರ್ತವ್ಯಂ ನ ಅತಿಕ್ರಮೇತ್| ಅಕೃತಂ ಕಾರ್ಯಂ ಸತಾಮ್ ಮನ್ಯುಮ್ ಉದೀರಯೇತ್||ಸಲಿಲಾತ್ ಊರ್ಧ್ವಂ ಉತ್ತಿಷ್ಠ | ಅಸ್ಮಾಕಮ್ ಅತಿಥಿಶ್ಚೈವ ಪ್ಲವತಾಮ್ ವರಃ ಪೂಜ್ಯಶ್ಚ| ಏಷಃ ಕಪಿಃ ತ್ವಯಿ ತಿಷ್ಠನ್ತು||

' Help their cause as a minister. Our duty to do worthy action shall not be lost. An unfinished task will make good people to lose their cool. Come up from the waters. This best of fliers is our guest and worthy of worship. This Vanara may rest on you'.

ಹನುಮಾಂಸ್ತ್ವಯಿ ವಿಶ್ರಾಂತಃ ತತಃ ಶೇಷಂ ಗಮಿಷ್ಯತಿ |
ಸ ಏಷ ಕಪಿಶಾರ್ದೂಲ ಸ್ತ್ವಾಮುಪರ್ಯೇತಿ ವೀರ್ಯವಾನ್ ||
ಕಾಕುತ್ಸ್ಥಸ್ಯಾನೃಶಂಸ್ಯಂ ಚ ಮೈಥಿಲ್ಯಾಶ್ಚ ವಿವಾಸನಮ್||100||
ಶ್ರಮಂ ಚ ಪ್ಲವಗೇನ್ದ್ರಸ್ಯ ಸಮೀಕ್ಷೋತ್ಥಾತುಮರ್ಹಸಿ |

ಸ|| ಚಾಮೀಕರ ಮಹಾನಾಭ (ತ್ವಂ) ದೇವಗನ್ಧರ್ವ ಸೇವಿತಃ | ಹನುಮಾನ್ ತ್ವಯಿ ವಿಶ್ರಾನ್ತಃ ತತಃ ಶೇಷಂ ಗಮಿಷ್ಯತಿ||ಕಾಕುತ್ಸ್ಥಸ್ಯ ಅನೃಶಂಸ್ಯಂ ಚ ಮೈಥಿಲ್ಯಾಃ ವಿವಾಸನಂ ಚ ಪ್ಲವಗೇನ್ದ್ರಸ್ಯ ಶ್ರಮಂ ಚ ಸಮೀಕ್ಷ್ಯ ಉತ್ಥಾತುಂ ಅರ್ಹಸಿ||

' Oh Golden peaked one ! You having been visited upon by Devas and Gandharvas. Hanuman may rest on you and then proceed to cover the rest (of the ocean). Considering the noble nature of Ikshavakus, the kidnapping of Mithila's daughter, Hanuman's efforts, you ought to rise up'.

ಶ್ಲೋ|| ಹಿರಣ್ಯನಾಭೋ ಮೈನಾಕೋ ನಿಶಮ್ಯ ಲವಣಾಮ್ಭಸಃ ||101||
ಉತ್ಪಪಾತ ಜಲಾತ್ತೂರ್ಣಂ ಮಹಾದ್ರುಮ ಲತಾ ಯುತಃ|
ಸಸಾಗರಜಲಂ ಭಿತ್ವಾ ಬಭೂವಾಭ್ಯುತ್ಥಿತಃ ತದಾ ||102||
ಯಥಾ ಜಲಧರಂ ಭಿತ್ವಾ ದೀಪ್ತರಶ್ಮಿರ್ದಿವಾಕರಃ |

ಸ|| ಹಿರಣ್ಯನಾಭಃ ಮಹಾದ್ರುಮಲತಾಯುತಃ ಲವಣಾಂಭಸಃ ಮೈನಾಕಃ (ಏತತ್) ನಿಶಮ್ಯ ಜಲಾತ್ ತೂರ್ಣಮ್ ಉತ್ಪಪಾತ||ತದಾ ಸಃ ಸಾಗರ ಜಲಂ ಭಿತ್ವಾ ಯಥಾ ದೀಪ್ತರಶ್ಮಿಃ ದಿವಾಕರಃ ಜಲಧರಂ ಭಿತ್ವಾ (ಇವ) ಅಭ್ಯುದ್ಧಿತಃ ಬಭೂವ||

The golden peaked mountain, full of great trees, hidden in the salty waters, having heard this immediately came up from the waters. Then the mountain rose up from the waters like the Sun comes up through water laden clouds.

ಶ್ಲೋ|| ಸ ಮಹಾತ್ಮ ಮುಹೂರ್ತೇನ ಪರ್ವತಃ ಸಲಿಲಾವೃತಃ ||103||
ದರ್ಶಯಾಮಾಸ ಶೃಙ್ಗಾಣಿ ಸಾಗರೇಣ ನಿಯೋಜಿತಃ |
ಆದಿತ್ಯೋದಿಯ ಸಙ್ಕಾಶೈರಾಲಿಖಿದ್ಭಿರಿವಾಂಬರಮ್|
ಶಾತಕುಮ್ಭಮಯೈಃ ಶೃಙ್ಗೈಃ ಸಕಿನ್ನರಮಹೋರಗೈಃ ||104||

ಸ|| ಮುಹೂರ್ತೇನ ಸಾಗರೇಣ ನಿಯೋಜಿತಃ ಸಲಿಲಾವೃತಃ ಸಃ ಮಹಾತ್ಮ ಪರ್ವತಃ ಶೃಂಗಾಣಿ ದರ್ಶಯಾಮಾಸ||ಸಃ ಕಿನ್ನರಮಹೋರಗೈಃ ಅದಿತ್ಯೋದಯ ಸಙ್ಕಾಶೈಃ ಶಾತಕುಂಭಮಯೈಃ ಶೃಂಗೈಃ ಅಮ್ಬರಂ ಆಲಿಖದ್ಭಿಃ (ದರ್ಶಯಾಮಾಸ)||

Deployed in the waters in a moment, Hanuman the great soul saw the mountain peaks. He saw the mountain with Nagas and Kinnaras, with golden peaks which are as if scraping the sky, resembling the rising Sun,

ಆಕಾಶಂ ಶಸ್ತ್ರ ಸಂಕಾಶಂ ಅಭವತ್ಕಾಂಚನಪ್ರಭಮ್|
ಜಾತರೂಪಮಯೈಃ ಶೃಙ್ಗೈಃ ಭ್ರಾಜಮಾನೈಃ ಸ್ವಯಂ ಪ್ರಭೈಃ ||106||
ಆದಿತ್ಯ ಶತ ಸಙ್ಕಾಶಃ ಸೋ ಽಭವತ್ ಗಿರಿಸತ್ತಮಃ|

ಸ|| ಪರ್ವತಸ್ಯ ಸಮುತ್ಥಿತೈಃ ಶೃಙ್ಗೈಃ ತಪ್ತಜಾಮ್ಬೂನದೈಃ ಆಕಾಶಮ್ ಶಸ್ತ್ರ ಸಂಕಾಶಂ ಕಾಂಚನ ಪ್ರಭಂ ಅಭವತ್|| ಸ್ವಯಂಪ್ರಭೈಃ ಭ್ರಾಜಮಾನೈಃ ಜಾತರೂಪಮಯೈಃ ಶೃಙ್ಗೈಃ ಸಃ ಗಿರಿಸತ್ತಮಃ ಶತ ಆದಿತ್ಯ ಸಂಕಾಶಃ ಅಭವತ್||

With the mountains peaks of burnished gold the sky assumed the burnished gold color of weapons. The self-effulgent glittering golden peaks , that best of mountains shone like thousand Suns.

ಶ್ಲೋ|| ತಮುತ್ಥಿತ ಮಸಙ್ಗೇನ ಹನುಮಾನಗ್ರತಸ್ಥಿತಮ್ ||107||
ಮಧ್ಯೇ ಲವಣತೋಯಸ್ಯ ವಿಘ್ನೋಽಯಮಿತಿ ನಿಶ್ಚಿತಃ|
ಸ ತಮುಚ್ಛ್ರಿತ ಮತ್ಯರ್ಥಂ ಮಹಾವೇಗೋ ಮಹಾಕಪಿಃ ||108||
ಉರಸಾ ಪಾತಯಾಮಾಸ ಜೀಮೂತ ಮಿವ ಮಾರುತಃ

ಸ|| ಲವಣತೋಯಸ್ಯ ಮಧ್ಯೇ ಅಸಂಗೇಣ ಉತ್ಥಿತಂ ಅಗ್ರಃ ಸ್ಥಿತಂ ತಂ ಅಯಂ ವಿಘ್ನಃ ಇತಿ ನಿಶ್ಚಿತಃ ( ತತಃ ಕಿಂಕುರ್ವನ್?)||ಸಃ ಕಪಿಃ ಮಹಾವೇಗಃ ಅತ್ಯರ್ಥಮ್ ಉಚ್ಛ್ರಿತಂ ತಂ ಉರಸಾ ಮಾರುತಃ ಜೀಮೂತಮಿವ ಪಾತಯಾಮಾಸ||

Hanuman thought that the one standing in front of him which rose up from the water of the sea , surely as an obstruction. The speedy Vanara, pushed that instantly risen up one with his chest like wind pushes the clouds away.

ಶ್ಲೋ|| ಸ ತಥಾ ಪಾತಿತಃ ತೇನ ಕಪಿನಾ ಪರ್ವತೋತ್ತಮಃ||109||
ಬುದ್ಧ್ವಾ ತಸ್ಯ ಕಪೇರ್ವೇಗಂ ಜಹರ್ಷ ಚ ನನಂದ ಚ |
ತ ಮಾಕಾಶಗತಂ ವೀರಂ ಆಕಾಶೇ ಸಮುಪಸ್ಥಿತಃ ||110||
ಪ್ರೀತೋ ಹೃಷ್ಠಮನಾ ವಾಕ್ಯಂ ಅಬ್ರವೀತ್ ಪರ್ವತಃ ಕಪಿಮ್|
ಮಾನುಷಂ ಧಾರಯನ್ ರೂಪಂ ಆತ್ಮನಃ ಶಿಖರೇ ಸ್ಥಿತಃ||111||

ಸ||ತೇನ ಕಪಿನಾ ತಥಾ ಪಾತಿತಃ ಸ ಪರ್ವತೋತ್ತಮಃ ತಸ್ಯ ಕಪೇಃ ವೇಗಂ ಬುದ್ಧ್ವಾ ಜಹರ್ಷ ಚ ನನಂದ ಚ||ಪರ್ವತಃ ಪ್ರೀತಃ ಹೃಷ್ಟಮಾನಃ ಮಾನುಷಂ ರೂಪಂ ಧಾರಯನ್ ಆತ್ಮನಃ ಶಿಖರೇ ಸಮುಪಸ್ಥಿತಃ ಆಕಾಶೇ ಆಕಾಶಗತಂ ತಂ ವೀರಂ ಕಪಿಂವಾಕ್ಯಂ ಅಬ್ರವೀತ್||

Thus pushed down by the Vanara , the best of mountains having realized the Vanaras speed, felt happy and roared too. The mountain , delighted, happily assuming the form of a human, standing on his peaks, spoke to the mighty Vanara flying in the sky.

ನಿಪತ್ಯ ಮಮ ಶೃಙ್ಗೇಷು ವಿಶ್ರಮಸ್ವ ಯಥಾಸುಖಂ||112||
ರಾಘವಸ್ಯ ಕುಲೇ ಜಾತೇ ರುದಧಿಃ ಪರಿವರ್ತಿತಃ |
ಸ ತ್ವಾಂ ರಾಮಹಿತೇ ಯುಕ್ತಂ ಪ್ರತ್ಯರ್ಚಯತಿ ಸಾಗರಃ ||113||

ಸ|| ವಾನರೋತ್ತಮಃ ತ್ವಂ ದುಷ್ಕರಂ ಕರ್ಮ ಕೃತವಾನ್ | ಮಮಶೃಙ್ಗೇಷು ನಿಪತ್ಯ ವಿಶ್ರಮಸ್ವ ಯಥಾಸುಖಮ್|| ಉದಧಿಃ ರಾಘವಸ್ಯ ಕುಲೇ ಜಾತೈಃ ಪರಿವರ್ಥಿತಃ | ಸಃ ಸಾಗರಃ ರಾಮಹಿತೇ ಯುಕ್ತಂ ತ್ವಾಂ ಪ್ರತ್ಯಯರ್ಚತಿ||

'Oh Best of Vanaras ! You are doing an very difficult task. Rest among my peaks and go as you please. This ocean is nurtured by those born in Raghava's line. That Sagara, wanting to act in the interests of Rama, wants to honor you in turn'.

ಸೋಽಯಂ ತ್ವತ್ಪ್ರತೀಕಾರಾರ್ಥೀ ತ್ವತ್ತಸ್ಸಮ್ಮಾನ ಮರ್ಹತಿ ||114||
ತ್ವನ್ನಿಮಿತ್ತಮನೇನಾಹಂ ಬಹುಮಾನಾತ್ ಪ್ರಚೋದಿತಃ|
ತಿಷ್ಠತ್ವಂ ಕಪಿಶಾರ್ದೂಲ ಮಯಿ ವಿಶ್ರಮ್ಯ ಗಮ್ಯತಾಮ್||115||

ಸ|| ಕೃತೇ ಪ್ರತಿ ಕರ್ತವ್ಯಂ(ಇತಿ) ಏಷಃ ಸನಾತನಃ ಧರ್ಮಃ| ತತ್ ಪ್ರತಿಕಾರಾರ್ಥೀ ಸಃ ( ಸಾಗರಃ) ಅಯಂ ತ್ವತ್ತಃ ಸಮ್ಮಾನಂ ಅರ್ಹತಿ|| ಅನೇನ ( ಸಾಗರೇಣ) ತ್ವತ್ ನಿಮಿತ್ತಂ ಬಹುಮಾನಾತ್ ಅಹಂ ಪ್ರಚೋದಿತಃ | ಕಪಿಶಾರ್ದೂಲ ತ್ವಂ ತಿಷ್ಠ | ಮಯಿ (ಶೃಂಗೇಷು) ವಿಶ್ರಮ್ಯ ಗಮ್ಯತಾಮ್||

' That help rendered is to be repaid is an age old custom. To perform that service in return, the Sagara wants to honor you. For your benefit I have been prompted ( by Sagara). Oh tiger among Vanaras ! Please stay. Resting on my peaks you may go'.

ಶ್ಲೋ|| ಯೋಜನಾನಾಂ ಶತಂ ಚಾಪಿ ಕಪಿರೇಷ ಸಮಾಪ್ಲುತಃ |
ತವ ಸಾನುಷು ವಿಶ್ರಾಂತಃ ಶೇಷಂ ಪ್ರಕ್ರಮತಾಂ ಇತಿ||116||
ತದಿದಂ ಗನ್ಧವತ್ ಸ್ವಾದು ಕನ್ದಮೂಲಫಲಮ್ ಬಹು|
ತದಾಸ್ವಾದ್ಯ ಹರಿಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠ ವಿಶ್ರಾನ್ತೋಽನುಗಮಿಷ್ಯಸಿ ||117||

ಸ|| ಶತಂ ಯೋಜನಾನಾಂ ಸಮಾಪ್ಲುತಃ ಏಷ ಕಪಿಃ ತವ ಸಾನುಷು ವಿಶ್ರಾನ್ತಃ ಪ್ರಕ್ರಮತಾಮ್ ಇತಿ (ಸಾಗರೇಣ ಪ್ರಚೋದಿತಃ)||ಹರಿಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠ ತತ್ ಇದಂ ಗಂಧವತ್ ಸ್ವಾದು ಬಹು ಕಂದಮೂಲಂ ಆಸಾದ್ಯ ವಿಶ್ರಾನ್ತಃ ಅನುಗಮಿಷ್ಯಸಿ ||

The Sagara prompted me thinking ' leaping over Hundred Yojanas this Vanara may then proceed after resting in your peaks. Oh best of Vanaras, tasting these sweet smelling fruits and roots and resting you may proceed."

ವೇಗವನ್ತಃ ಪ್ಲವನ್ತೋ ಯೇ ಪ್ಲವಗಾಮಾರುತಾತ್ಮಜಃ|
ತೇಷಾಂ ಮುಖ್ಯತಮಃ ಮನ್ಯೇ ತ್ವಾಮಹಂ ಕಪಿಕುಂಜರ||119||

ಸ|| ಕಪಿಮುಖ್ಯ ತ್ರಿಷು ಲೋಕೇಷು ಪ್ರಖ್ಯಾತಃ ಮಹಾಗುಣಪರಿಗ್ರಹಃ ಸಂಬಂಧಃ ತ್ವಯಾ ಅಸ್ಮಾಕಮಪಿ ಅಸ್ತಿವೈ||ಮಾರುತಾತ್ಮಜ ಕಪಿಕುಂಜರಃ ವೇಗವನ್ತಃ ಪ್ಲವನ್ತಃ ಯೇ ಪ್ಲವಗಾಃ ತೇಷಾಮ್ ಮುಖ್ಯತಮಂ ತ್ವಾಮ್ ಅಹಂ ಮನ್ಯೇ||

' Oh chief of Vanaras ! For us also there is a kinship based on merits which is well known in the three worlds. Oh Son of wind god ! Elephant among Vanaras , I consider you as the foremost among those who fly very fast'.

ಶ್ಲೋ|| ಅತಿಥಿಃ ಕಿಲ ಪೂಜಾರ್ಹಃ ಪ್ರಾಕೃತೋಽಪಿ ವಿಜಾನತ|
ಧರ್ಮಂ ಜಿಜ್ಞಾಸಮಾನೇನ ಕಿಂ ಪುನಸ್ತ್ವಾದೃಶೋ ಮಹಾನ್ ||120||
ತ್ವಂ ಹಿ ದೇವ ವರಿಷ್ಠಸ್ಯ ಮಾರುತಸ್ಯ ಮಹಾತ್ಮನಃ|
ಪುತ್ರಃ ತಸ್ಯೈವ ವೇಗೇನ ಸದೃಶಃ ಕಪಿಕುಞ್ಜರಃ||121||
ಸ|| ಧರ್ಮಂ ಜಿಜ್ಞಾಸಮಾನೇನ ವಿಜಾನತಾ ಪ್ರಾಕೃತಃ ಅಪಿ ಅತಿಥಿಃ ಪೂಜಾರ್ಹಃ | ತ್ವಾದೃಶಃ ಮಹಾನ್ ಕಿಂ ಪುನಃ ಕಿಲ|| ಕಪಿಕುಂಜರ ತ್ವಂ ದೇವವರಿಷ್ಠಸ್ಯ ಮಹಾತ್ಮನಃ ಮಾರುತಸ್ಯ ಪುತ್ರಃ ಹಿ | ವೇಗೇನ ತಸ್ಯೈವ ಸಾದೃಶಃ||

' By the wise men who desire to know righteousness, a guest even if he is an ordinary person, is worthy of worship. That being so what to say of great ones. Oh Elephant among Vanaras ! You are preeminent among divine beings. You are son of wind-god. In speed you are equal to him.

ಶ್ಲೋ|| ಪೂಜಿತೇ ತ್ವಯಿ ಧರ್ಮಜ್ಞ ಪೂಜಾಂ ಪ್ರಾಪ್ನೋತಿ ಮಾರುತಃ|
ತಸ್ಮಾತ್ ತ್ವಂ ಪೂಜನೀಯೋ ಮೇ ಶೃಣುಚಾಪ್ಯತ್ರ ಕಾರಣಮ್||122||
ಪೂರ್ವಂ ಕೃತ ಯುಗೇ ತಾತ ಪರ್ವತಾಃ ಪಕ್ಷಿಣೋಽಭವನ್|
ತೇ ಹಿ ಜಗ್ಮುರ್ದಿಶಸ್ಸರ್ವಾ ಗರುಡಾನಿಲ ವೇಗಿನಃ||123||

ಸ||ಧರ್ಮಜ್ಞ ತ್ವಯಿ ಪೂಜಿತೇ ಮಾರುತಃ ಪೂಜಾಂ ಪ್ರಾಪ್ನೋತಿ | ತಸ್ಮಾತ್ ತ್ವಂ ಅಪಿ ಮೇ ಪೂಜನೀಯಃ | ಅತ್ರಕಾರಣಂ ಚ ಶೃಣು||ತಾತ ! ಪೂರ್ವಂ ಕೃತಯುಗೇ ಪರ್ವತಾಃ ಪಕ್ಷಿಣಃ ಅಭವನ್ | ತೇ ಗರುಡಾನಿಲವೇಗಃ ಸರ್ವಾಃ ದಿಶಾಃ ಜಗ್ಮುಃ||

'Oh Knower of righteousness! if you are worshipped , the wind god receives the veneration. So you are also worthy of worship for me. Let me tell you the reason. Dear son ! Long time ago in Krita Yuga the mountains were having wings. They were moving the speed of Garuda in all directions'.

ಶ್ಲೋ|| ತತಸ್ತೇಷು ಪ್ರಯಾತೇಷು ದೇವಸಂಘಾಸ್ಸಹರ್ಷಿಭಿಃ |
ಭೂತಾನಿ ಚ ಭಯಂ ಜಗ್ಮುಃ ತೇಷಾಂ ಪತನಶಙ್ಕಯಾ ||124||
ತತಃ ಕ್ರುದ್ಧಃ ಸಹಸ್ರಾಕ್ಷಃ ಪರ್ವತಾನಾಂ ಶತಕ್ರತುಃ|
ಪಕ್ಷಾನ್ ಚಿಛ್ಚೇದ ವಜ್ರೇಣ ತತ್ರ ತತ್ರ ಸಹಸ್ರಶಃ||125||

ಸ||ತತಃ ತೇಷು ಪ್ರಯಾತೇಷು ಸಹರ್ಷಿಭಿಃ ದೇವ ಸಂಘಾಃ ಭೂತಾನಿ ಚ ತೇಷಾಂ ಪತನ ಶಂಕಯಾ ಭಯಂ ಜಗ್ಮುಃ|| ತತಃ ಕ್ರುದ್ಧಃ ಶತಕ್ರತುಃ ಸಹಸ್ರಾಕ್ಷಃ ತತ್ರ ತತ್ರ ಸಹಶ್ರಸಃ ಪರ್ವತಾನಾಂ ಪಕ್ಷಾನ್ ಚಿಛ್ಚೇದ||

' Then as they went about the legions of gods along with venerable sages and other beings panicked for fear of their falling down. Then the angry thousand eyed one who performed hundred sacrifices, cut off the wings of the mountains'.

ಶ್ಲೋ|| ಸಮಾಮುಪಾಗತಃ ಕ್ರುದ್ಧೋ ವಜ್ರಮುದ್ಯಮ ದೇವರಾಟ್|
ತತೋಽಹಂ ಸಹಸಾ ಕ್ಷಿಪ್ತ ಶ್ವಸನೇನ ಮಹಾತ್ಮನಾ||126||
ಅಸ್ಮಿನ್ ಲವಣತೋಯೇ ಚ ಪ್ರಕ್ಷಿಪ್ತಃ ಪ್ಲವಗೋತ್ತಮಃ|
ಗುಪ್ತಪಕ್ಷ ಸಮಗ್ರಶ್ಚ ತವಪಿತ್ರಾಽಭಿ ರಕ್ಷಿತಃ||127||

ಸ|| ಸಃ ದೇವರಾಟ್ ಕ್ರುದ್ಧಃ ವಜ್ರಂ ಉದ್ಯಮ್ಯ ಮಾಮ್ ಉಪಾಗತಃ| ತತಃ ಅಹಂ ಮಹಾತ್ಮನಾ ಶ್ವಸನೇನ ಸಹಸಾ ಕ್ಷಿಪ್ತಃ|| ಪ್ಲವಗೋತ್ತಮ ಗುಪ್ತಪಕ್ಷಸಮಗ್ರಶ್ಚ ಅಸ್ಮಿನ್ ಲವಣತೋಯೇ ಪ್ರಕ್ಷಿಪ್ತಃ ತವಪಿತ್ರಾ ಅಭಿರಕ್ಷಿತಃ||

'The angry king of Devas, holding the Vajra approached me. Then I have been dropped down by the great wind god. Oh best of Vanaras! Thrown down by your father I have been protected with my wings intact'.

ಶ್ಲೋ|| ತತೋಽಹಂ ಮಾನಯಾಮಿ ತ್ವಾಂ ಮಾನ್ಯೋಹಿ ಮಮ ಮಾರುತಃ |
ತ್ವಯಾ ಮೇ ಹ್ಯೇಷ ಸಂಬನ್ಧಃ ಕಪಿಮುಖ್ಯ ಮಹಾಗುಣಃ||128||
ಅಸ್ಮಿನ್ನೇವಂ ಗತೇ ಕಾರ್ಯೇ ಸಾಗರಸ್ಯ ಮಮೈವ ಚ|
ಪ್ರೀತಿಂ ಪ್ರೀತಮನಾಃ ಕರ್ತುಂ ತ್ವಮರ್ಹಸಿ ಮಹಾಕಪೇ ||129||
ಶ್ರಮಂ ಮೋಕ್ಷಯ ಪೂಜಾಂ ಚ ಗೃಹಾಣ ಕಪಿಸತ್ತಮ |
ಪ್ರೀತಿಂ ಚ ಬಹು ಮನ್ಯಸ್ವ ಪ್ರೀತೋಽಸ್ಮಿ ತವ ದರ್ಶನಾತ್ ||130||

ಸ|| ಕಪಿಮುಖ್ಯ ತತಃ ಮಾರುತಃ ಮಮ ಮಾನ್ಯಃ ಹಿ | ತತಃ ಅಹಂ ಮಾನಯಾಮಿ | ಮೇ ತ್ವಯಾ ಸಂಬಂಧಃ ಮಹಾಗುಣಃ || ಮಹಾಕಪಿಃ ಅಸ್ಮಿನ್ ಕಾರ್ಯೇ ಏವಂ ಗತೇ ತ್ವಂ ಪ್ರೀತಮನಾಃ ಸಾಗರಸ್ಯಚ ಮಮೈವ ಚ ಪ್ರೀತಿಂ ಕರ್ತುಂ ಅರ್ಹಸಿ||ಕಪಿಸತ್ತಮ ಶ್ರಮಂ ಮೋಕ್ಷ್ಯ ಪೂಜಾಂ ಚ ಗೃಹಾಣ ಪ್ರೀತಿಂ ಬಹುಮನ್ಯಸ್ವ| ತವ ದರ್ಶನಾತ್ ಪ್ರೀತಃ ಅಸ್ಮಿ||

'Oh chief of Vanaras ! So the wind god is worthy of worship for me. So I am worshipping you. My relationship with you is great. Oh great Vanara ! Being deployed in this action, you deserve to please us, the Sagara and myself. Oh best of Vanaras ! Relieving your fatigue, receiving our worship accepting our love, you may oblige us. I am delighted in seeing you'

ಶ್ಲೋ|| ಏವಮುಕ್ತಃ ಕಪಿಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠಃ ತಂ ನಗೋತ್ತಮಮ್ ಅಬ್ರವೀತ್ |
ಪ್ರೀತೋಽಸ್ಮಿ ಕೃತಾಮಾತಿಥ್ಯಂ ಮನ್ಯುರೇಷೋಽಪನೀಯತಾಮ್||131||

ಸ|| ಏವಂ ಉಕ್ತಃ ಕಪಿಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠಃ ತಂ ನಗೋತ್ತಮಂ ಅಬ್ರವೀತ್ | ಪ್ರೀತಃ ಅಸ್ಮಿ| ಆತಿಥ್ಯಂ ಕೃತಂ| ಏಷಃ ಮನ್ಯುಃ ಅಪನೀಯತಾಮ್||

Having been told thus by Vanara, the best of Vanaras then spoke. 'I am delighted. Take it as though your hospitality has been accepted. Remove your unhappiness'.

ಶ್ಲೋ|| ತ್ವರತೇ ಕಾರ್ಯಕಾಲೋಮೇ ಅಹಶ್ಚಾಪ್ಯತಿವರ್ತತೇ |
ಪ್ರತಿಜ್ಞಾ ಚ ಮಯಾದತ್ತಾ ನ ಸ್ಥಾತವ್ಯ ಮಿಹಾನ್ತರೇ ||132||
ಇತ್ಯುಕ್ತ್ವಾ ಪಾಣಿನಾ ಶೈಲಂ ಆಲಭ್ಯ ಹರಿಪುಂಗವಃ|
ಜಗಾಮಾಕಾಶಮಾವಿಶ್ಯ ವೀರ್ಯವಾನ್ ಪ್ರಹಸನ್ನಿವ ||133||

ಸ|| ಮೇ ಕಾರ್ಯಕಾಲಃ ತ್ವರತೇ | ಅಹಃ ಚ ಅತಿವರ್ತತೇ | ಅನ್ತರೇ ಇಹ ನ ಸ್ಥಾತವ್ಯಂ (ಇತಿ) ಮಯಾ ಪ್ರತಿಜ್ಞಾ ದತ್ತಾಚ||ವೀರ್ಯವಾನ್ ಹರಿಪುಂಗವಃ ಇತಿ ಉಕ್ತ್ವಾ ಶೈಲಂ ಪಾಣೀನಾ ಆಲಭ್ಯ ಆಕಾಶಮ್ ಆವಿಶ್ಯ ಪ್ರಹಸನ್ನಿವ ಜಗಾಮ||

My time limit is approaching. The day is also coming to its end. Taken a vow not to stop in the middle. The mighty Hanuman having said this touching the mountain with his hand, entering the sky moved on with a smile .

ಶ್ಲೋ|| ಸ ಪರ್ವತ ಸಮುದ್ರಾಭ್ಯಾಂ ಬಹುಮಾನಾದವೇಕ್ಷಿತಃ |
ಪೂಜಿತಶ್ಚೋಪಪನಾಭಿಃ ಆಶೀರ್ಭಿಃ ಅನಿಲಾತ್ಮಜಃ ||134||
ಅಥೋರ್ಥ್ವಂ ದೂರಮುತ್ಪತ್ಯ ಹಿತ್ವಾ ಶೈಲಮಹಾರ್ಣವೌ |
ಪಿತುಃ ಪನ್ಥಾನ ಮಾಸ್ಥಾಯ ಜಗಾಮ ವಿಮಲೇಽಮ್ಬರೇ||135||

ಸ|| ಸಃ ಅನಿಲಾತ್ಮಜಃ ಪರ್ವತ ಸಮುದ್ರಾಭ್ಯಾಂ ಬಹುಮಾನಾತ್ ಆವೇಕ್ಷಿತಃ ಉಪಪನ್ನಾಭಿಃ ಆಶೀರ್ಭಿಃ ಪೂಜಿತಃ ಚ||ಅಥ ಶೈಲಮಹಾರ್ಣವೌ ಹಿತ್ವಾ ( ಹನೂಮತಃ) ಊರ್ಧ್ವಂ ದೂರಂ ಉತ್ಪತ್ಯ ವಿಮಲೇ ಅಮ್ಬರೇ ಪಿತುಃ ಪನ್ಥಾನಂ ಅಸ್ಥಾಯ ಜಗಾಮ||

The son of wind god was adored by the mountain , and was honored with proper blessings. Then leaving the mountain and the great ocean , Hanuman jumped up into the clear sky taking the path of his father, and flew away.

ಶ್ಲೋ|| ಭೂಯಶ್ಚೋರ್ಧ್ವಗತಿಂ ಪ್ರಾಪ್ಯ ಗಿರಿಂ ತಂ ಅವಲೋಕಯನ್ |
ವಾಯುಸೂನುನಿರಾಲಮ್ಬೇ ಜಗಾಮ ವಿಮಲೇಽಮ್ಬರೇ||136||
ತದ್ವಿತೀಯಂ ಹನುಮತೋ ದೃಷ್ಟ್ವಾ ಕರ್ಮಸುದುಷ್ಕರಮ್|
ಪ್ರಶಶಂಸು ಸ್ಸುರಾಸ್ಸರ್ವೇ ಸಿದ್ಧಾಶ್ಚ ಪರಮರ್ಷಯಃ||137||

ಸ|| ವಾಯುಸೂನುಃ ಭೂಯಶ್ಚ ಊರ್ಧ್ವಂ ಗತಿಂ ಪ್ರಾಪ್ಯ ತಂ ಗಿರಿಂ ಅವಲೋಕಯನ್ ನಿರಾಲಮ್ಬೇ ವಿಮಲಏ ಅಮ್ಬರೇ ಜಗಾಮ||ಹನುಮತಃ ತತ್ ದ್ವಿತೀಯಂ ಸುದುಷ್ಕರಂ ಕರ್ಮ ದೃಷ್ಟ್ವಾ ಸರ್ವೇ ಸುರಾಃ ಸಿದ್ಧಾಶ್ಚ ಪರಮರ್ಷಯಃ ಪ್ರಶಂಸುಃ||

The son of wind god again attaining higher path , looking at the mountain went in to the sky without any support. Seeing the accomplishment of the second such difficult to perform task being performed by Hanuman , the Suras , Siddhas and the venerable sages praised him.

ಶ್ಲೋ|| ದೇವತಾಶ್ಚಾಭವನ್ ಹೃಷ್ಟಾಃ ತತ್ರಸ್ಥಾಸ್ತಸ್ಯ ಕರ್ಮಣಾ|
ಕಾಂಚನಸ್ಯ ಸುನಾಭಸ್ಯ ಸಹಸ್ರಾಕ್ಷಶ್ಚ ವಾಸವಃ||138||
ಉವಾಚ ವಚನಂ ಧೀಮಾನ್ ಪರಿತೋಷಾತ್ ಸಗದ್ಗದಮ್|
ಸುನಾಭಂ ಪರ್ವತ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠಂ ಸ್ವಯಮೇವ ಶಚೀಪತಿಃ ||139||

ಸ|| ತತ್ರಸ್ಥಾಃ ದೇವತಾಶ್ಚ ಸಹಸ್ರಾಕ್ಷಃ ವಾಸವಸ್ಚ ಕಾಂಚನಸ್ಯ ತಸ್ಯ ಸುನಾಭಸ್ಯ ಕರ್ಮಣಾ ಹೃಷ್ಠಾಃ ಅಭವನ್ ||ಧೀಮಾನ್ ಶಚೀಪತಿಃ ಪರ್ವತಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠಂ ಸುನಾಭಂ ಪರಿತೋಷಾತ್ ಸಗದ್ಗದಮ್ ಸ್ವಯಮೇವ ವಚನಮ್ ಉವಾಚ||

The Devas who were present there as well as the thousand eyed Vasava too were delighted by the gesture of the golden Mainaka mountain. Indra, the wise husband of Sachi satisfied spoke to Sunabha, the best of mountains , with a choked voice of happiness.

ಶ್ಲೋ|| ಹಿರಣ್ಯನಾಭ ಶೈಲೇನ್ದ್ರ ಪರಿತುಷ್ಟೋಽಸ್ಮಿ ತೇ ಭೃಶಮ್|
ಅಭಯಂ ತೇ ಪ್ರಯಚ್ಛಾಮಿ ತಿಷ್ಠ ಸೌಮ್ಯ ಯಥಾ ಸುಖಮ್||140||
ಸಾಹ್ಯಂ ಕೃತಂ ತೇ ಸುಮಹದ್ವಿಕ್ರಾನ್ತಸ್ಯ ಹನೂಮತಃ|
ಕ್ರಮತೋ ಯೋಜನಶತಂ ನಿರ್ಭಯಸ್ಯ ಭಯೇ ಸತಿ||141||

ಸ|| ಹಿರಣ್ಯನಾಭ ಶೈಲೇಂದ್ರ ತೇ ಭೃಶಮ್ ಪರಿತುಷ್ಠಃ ಅಸ್ಮಿ | ಸೌಮ್ಯ ತೇ ಅಭಯಂ ಪ್ರಯಚ್ಛಾಮಿ| ಯಥಾಸುಖಂ ತಿಷ್ಠ||ಶತಯೋಜನಮ್ ಕ್ರಮತಃ ಭಯೇ ಸತಿ ನಿರ್ಭಯಸ್ಯ ವಿಕ್ರಾನ್ತಸ್ಯ ತೇ ಹನುಮತಃ ಸುಮಹತ್ ಸಾಹ್ಯಂ ಕೃತಂ||

'Oh Hiranyagarbha ! the best of mountains, I am very happy with you. Oh Pious one! I am giving you my protection. You rest as you please. While leaping a hundred Yojanas , though there is reason to fear, the fearless Hanuman is unafraid and great deed was done'.

ಶ್ಲೋ|| ರಾಮಸ್ಯೈಷ ಹಿ ದೂತ್ಯೇನ ಯಾತಿ ದಾಶರಥೇರ್ಹರಿಃ |
ಸತ್ ಕ್ರಿಯಾಂ ಕುರ್ವತಾ ತಸ್ಯ ತೋಷಿತೋಽಸ್ಮಿ ದೃಢಂ ತ್ವಯಾ||142||
ತತಃ ಪ್ರಹರ್ಷಮಗಮ ದ್ವಿಪುಲಂ ಪರ್ವತೋತ್ತಮಃ |
ದೇವತಾನಾಂ ಪತಿಂ ದೃಷ್ಟ್ವಾ ಪರಿತುಷ್ಠಂ ಶತಕ್ರತುಮ್||143||
ಸವೈ ದತ್ತವರಶೈಲೋ ಬಭೂವಾಸ್ಥಿತಃ ತದಾ |
ಹನುಮಾಂಶ್ಚ ಮುಹುರ್ತೇನ ವ್ಯತಿಚಕ್ರಾಮ ಸಾಗರಮ್||144||

ಸ|| ಏಷ ಹರಿಃ ದಾಶರಥೇಃ ರಾಮಸ್ಯ ಪಿತಾಯೈವ ಯಾತಿ ತಸ್ಯತ್ವಯಾ ಕುರ್ವತಾ ಸತ್ ಕ್ರಿಯಾಮ್ ದೃಢಃ ತೋಷಿತಃ ಅಸ್ಮಿ||ತತಃ ಪರ್ವತೋತ್ತಮಃ ದೇವತಾನಾಂ ಪತಿಂ ಶತಕ್ರತುಂ ಪರಿತುಷ್ಠಂ ದೃಷ್ಟ್ವಾ ವಿಪುಲಂ ಪ್ರಹರ್ಷಂ ಆಗಮತ್||ತದಾ ದತ್ತವರಃ ಸಃ ಶೈಲಃ ಅಸ್ಥಿತಃ ಬಭೂವ| ಹನುಮಾಂಶ್ಚ ಮುಹೂರ್ತೇನ ಸಾಗರಂ ವ್ಯತಿಚಕ್ರಾಮ||

'This Vanara is working for Rama's well-being only. I am very happy with the service offered to him'. Then the best of mountains seeing the happiness of the king of Devas, Indra experienced a delight. Then the Mountain having been given a boon became stable. Hanuman also moved on across the ocean."

ಶ್ಲೋ|| ತತೋ ದೇವಾಃ ಸಗನ್ಧರ್ವಾಃ ಸಿದ್ಧಾಶ್ಚ ಪರಮರ್ಷಯಃ|
ಅಬ್ರುವನ್ ಸೂರ್ಯಸಙ್ಕಾಶಾಂ ಸುರಸಾಂ ನಾಗಮಾತರಮ್||145||
ಅಯಂ ವಾತಾತ್ಮಜ ಶ್ಶ್ರೀಮಾನ್ ಪ್ಲವತೇ ಸಾಗರೋಪರಿ|
ಹನುಮಾನ್ನಾಮ ತಸ್ಯ ತ್ವಂ ಮುಹೂರ್ತಂ ವಿಘ್ನಮಾಚರ||146||

ಸ|| ತತಃ ದೇವಾಃ ಗಂಧರ್ವಾಃ ಸಹ ಸಿದ್ಧಾಃ ಪರಮರ್ಷ್ಯಯಃ ಚ ಸೂರ್ಯಸಂಕಾಶಂ ನಾಗಮಾತರಂ ಸುರಸಾಂ ಅಬ್ರುವನ್ ||ಅಯಂ ಶ್ರೀಮಾನ್ ಹನುಮಾನ್ ನಾಮ ವಾತಾತ್ಮಜಃ ಸಾಗರೋಪರಿ ಪ್ಲವತೇ | ತಸ್ಯ ತ್ವಂ ಮುಹೂರ್ತಂ ವಿಘ್ನಂ ಆಚರ ||

Then the Devas, Gandharvas along with Siddhas and great ascetics spoke to Surasa the mother of serpents who is shining like the Sun. ' This illustrious son of wind god, named Hanuman is flying across the ocean. You provide him an obstruction for a moment'.

ಶ್ಲೋ|| ರಾಕ್ಷಸಂ ರೂಪಮಾಸ್ಥಾಯ ಸುಘೋರಂ ಪರ್ವತೋಪಮಮ್|
ದಂಷ್ಟ್ರಾ ಕರಾಳಂ ಪಿಙ್ಗಾಕ್ಷಂ ವಕ್ತ್ರಂ ಕೃತ್ವಾ ನಭಸ್ಸಮಮ್||147||
ಬಲಮಿಚ್ಚಾಮಹೇ ಜ್ಞಾತುಂ ಭೂಯಶ್ಚಾಸ್ಯ ಪರಾಕ್ರಮಮ್|
ತ್ವಾಂ ವಿಜೇಷ್ಯತ್ ಉಪಾಯೇನ ವಿಷಾದಂ ವಾ ಗಮಿಷ್ಯತಿ ||148||

ಸ|| ಸುಘೋರಂ ಪರ್ವತ ಉಪಮಮ್ ರಾಕ್ಷಸ ರೂಪಂ ಆಸ್ಥಾಯ ದಂಷ್ತ್ರಾಕರಾಳಂ ಪಿಂಗಾಕ್ಷಂ ವಕ್ತ್ರಂ ನಭಃ ಸಮಂ ಕೃತ್ವಾ ( ವಿಘ್ನಂ ಆಚರ) || ಅಸ್ಯ ಬಲಂ ಭೂಯಃ ಪರಾಕ್ರಮಃ ಚ ಜ್ಞಾತುಂ ಇಚ್ಛಾಮಹೇ | ಉಪಾಯೇನ ತ್ವಾಂ ವಿಜೇಷ್ಯತಿ ವಾ ವಿಷಾದಂ ಗಮಿಷ್ಯತಿ (ಜ್ಞಾತುಂ ಇಚ್ಛಾಮಹೇ)||

' Assume a hideous form of a demon, gigantic like a mountain , with big teeth, yellow brown eyes, with opening mouth like a sky. We want to know again his strength and prowess. Whether he will win with intelligence or faces sorrow'.

ಶ್ಲೋ|| ಏವಮುಕ್ತಾ ತು ಸಾ ದೇವೀ ದೈವತೈರಭಿಸತ್ಕೃತಾ |
ಸಮುದ್ರ ಮಧ್ಯೇ ಸುರಸಾ ಭಿಭ್ರತೀ ರಾಕ್ಷಸಂ ವಪುಃ||149||
ವಿಕೃತಂ ಚ ವಿರೂಪಂ ಚ ಸರ್ವಸ್ಯ ಚ ಭಯಾವಹಮ್|
ಪ್ಲವಮಾನಂ ಹನೂಮನ್ತಂ ಆವೃತ್ಯೇದಮುವಾಚಹ||150||

ಸ|| ಏವಂ ದೈವತೈಃ ಅಭಿಸತ್ಕೃತಾ ಉಕ್ತಾ ತು ಸಾ ದೇವೀ ಸಮುದ್ರ ಮಧ್ಯೇ ರಾಕ್ಷಸಂ ವಪುಃ ಭಿಭ್ರತೀ || (ತದಾ) ಪ್ಲವಮಾನಂ ಹನೂಮನ್ತಂ ಆವೃತ್ಯ (ತತ್) ಸರ್ವಸ್ಯ ಚ ಭಯಾವಹಂ ವಿಕೃತಂ ಚ ವಿರೂಪಂ ಇದಂ ಆಹ||

Thus having been told by Devas and receiving their honors , that lady demon presented herself in the middle of the ocean. Then the ugly and terrifying form surrounding Hanuman who was flying and said the following.

ಶ್ಲೋ|| ಮಮಭಕ್ಷಃ ಪ್ರದಿಷ್ಟಸ್ತ್ವಂ ಈಶ್ವರೈರ್ವಾನರರ್ಷಭ |
ಅಹಂ ತ್ವಾಂ ಭಕ್ಷಯಿಷ್ಯಾಮಿ ಪ್ರವಿಶೇದಂ ಮಮಾನನಮ್||151||
ಏವಮುಕ್ತಃ ಸುರಸಯಾ ಪ್ರಾಙ್ಜಲಿರ್ವಾನರರ್ಷಭ|
ಪ್ರಹೃಷ್ಟವದನಃ ಶ್ರೀಮಾನ್ ಇದಂ ವಚನಮಬ್ರವೀತ್ ||152||

ಸ|| (ಹೇ) ವಾನರರ್ಷಭ ಈಶ್ವರೈಃ ತ್ವಂ ಮಮಭಕ್ಷಃ ಪ್ರದಿಷ್ಟಃ | ಅಹಂ ತ್ವಾಂ ಭಕ್ಷಯಿಷ್ಯಾಮಿ | ಇದಂ ಮಮ ಆನನಮ್ ಪ್ರವಿಶ || ಸುರಸಯಾ ಏವಂ ಉಕ್ತಃ ವಾನರರ್ಷಭಃ ಪ್ರಹೃಷ್ಟವದನಃ ಪ್ರಾಙ್ಜಲಿಃ ಶ್ರೀಮಾನ್ ಇದಂ ವಚನಂ ಅಬ್ರವೀತ್||

Oh Bull among Vanaras ! The Lord has sent you as my food. I will eat you. Enter my mouth. Having been told by thus by Surasa , with a happy and willing countenance the illustrious one said the following words.

ಶ್ಲೋ|| ರಾಮೋದಾಶರಥಿರ್ನಾಮ ಪ್ರವಿಷ್ಟೋ ದಣ್ಡಕಾವನಮ್|
ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಣೇನ ಸಹ ಭ್ರಾತಾ ವೈದೇಹ್ಯಾಚಾಪಿ ಭಾರ್ಯಯಾ||153||
ಅನ್ಯಕಾರ್ಯವಿಷಕ್ತಸ್ಯ ಬದ್ಧವೈರಸ್ಯ ರಾಕ್ಷಸೈಃ |
ತಸ್ಯ ಸೀತಾ ಹೃತಾ ಭಾರ್ಯಾ ರಾವಣೇನ ಯಶಸ್ವಿನೀ||154||

ಸ|| ರಾಮಃ ನಾಮ ದಾಶರಥಿಃ ಭ್ರಾತಾ ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಣೇನ ಸಹ ಭಾರ್ಯಯಾ ವೈದೇಹ್ಯಾ ಚಾಪಿ ದಣ್ಡಕಾವನಮ್ ಪ್ರವಿಷ್ಠಃ ||ರಾಕ್ಷಸೈಃ ಬದ್ಧವೈರಸ್ಯ ತಸ್ಯ ಅನ್ಯಕಾರ್ಯವಿಷಕ್ತಸ್ಯ ಭಾರ್ಯಾ ಯಶಸ್ವಿನೀ ಸೀತಾ ರಾವಣೇನ ಅಪಹೃತಾ||

'The son of Dasaratha by name Rama, along with his brother Lakshmana and his wife Sita entered the Dandaka forest. While Rama was engaged otherwise by Rakshasas with deep rooted enmity, his wife Sita , a glorious lady has been abducted by Ravana'.

ಶ್ಲೋ|| ತಸ್ಯಾಃ ಸಕಾಶಂ ದೂತೋಽಹಂ ಗಮಿಷ್ಯೇ ರಾಮ ಶಾಸನಾತ್ |
ಕರ್ತುಮರ್ಹಸಿ ರಾಮಸ್ಯ ಸಾಹ್ಯಂ ವಿಷಯವಾಸಿನಿ||155||
ಅಥವಾ ಮೈಥಿಲೀಂ ದೃಷ್ಟ್ವಾ ರಾಮಂ ಚಾಕ್ಲಿಷ್ಠಕಾರಿಣಮ್|
ಆಗಮಿಷ್ಯಾಮಿ ತೇ ವಕ್ತ್ರಂ ಸತ್ಯಂ ಪ್ರತಿಶ್ರುಣೋಮಿ ತೇ||156||

ಸ|| ಅಹಂ ದೂತಃ ತಸ್ಯಾಃ (ಸೀತಾಯಾಃ) ಸಕಾಶಮ್ ರಾಮಶಾಸನಾತ್ ಗಮಿಷ್ಯೇ | (ಹೇ) ವಿಷಯವಾಸಿನಿ ರಾಮಸ್ಯ ಸಾಹ್ಯಂ ಕರ್ತುಂ ಅರ್ಹಸಿ||ಅಥವಾ ಮೈಥಿಲೀಂ ದೃಷ್ಟ್ವಾಅಕ್ಲಿಷ್ಟಕಾರಿಣಂ ರಾಮಂ ಚ ತೇ ವಕ್ತ್ರಂ ಆಗಮಿಷ್ಯಾಮಿ | ಸತ್ಯಂ ತೇ ಪ್ರತಿಶ್ರುಣೋಮಿ ||

' I am his messenger going on his command. Oh Resident of his kingdom ! It is proper for you to help Rama. Or else after seeing Mythili and Rama who makes difficult things look easy I will come back to your mouth. I am telling you the truth'.

ಶ್ಲೋ|| ಏವಮುಕ್ತಾ ಹನುಮತಾ ಸುರಸಾ ಕಾಮರೂಪಿಣೀ|
ಅಬ್ರವೀನ್ನಾತಿವರ್ತೇನ್ಮಾಂ ಕಶ್ಚಿದೇಷವರೋ ಮಮ||157||
ತಂ ಪ್ರಯಾನ್ತಂ ಸಮುದ್ವೀಕ್ಷ್ಯ ಸುರಸಾ ವಾಕ್ಯ ಮಬ್ರವೀತ್|
ಬಲಂ ಜಿಜ್ಞಾಸಮಾನಾ ವೈ ನಾಗಮಾತಾ ಹನೂಮತಃ||157-1||

ಸ|| ಹನುಮತಾ ಏವಂ ಉಕ್ತಾ ಕಾಮರೂಪಿಣಿ ಸುರಸಾ ಅಬ್ರವೀತ್ ಕಶ್ಚಿತ್ ನಾತಿವರ್ತೇತ ಏಷಃ ಮಮ ವರಃ ||ನಾಗಮಾತಾ ಸುರಸಾ ಹನೂಮತಃ ಬಲಂ ಜಿಜ್ಞಾಸಮಾನಾ ವೈ ನಾಗಮಾತಾ ಸುರಸಾ ಪ್ರಯಾನ್ತಂ ತಂ ಸಮುದ್ವೀಕ್ಷ್ಯ (ಇದಮ್) ವಾಕ್ಯಂ ಅಬ್ರವೀತ್ ||

Having been told thus by Hanuman, Surasa said none can cross me. That is my boon. The mother of serpents Surasa desirous of knowing Hanuman's strength , addressed these words to Hanuman who was attempting to go away.

ಶ್ಲೋ|| ಪ್ರವಿಶ್ಯ ವದನಂ ಮೇಽದ್ಯ ಗನ್ತವ್ಯಮ್ ವಾನರೋತ್ತಮ|
ವರ ಏಷಾ ಪುರಾ ದತ್ತೋ ಮಮಧಾತ್ರೇತಿ ಸತ್ವರಾ||157-2||
ವ್ಯಾದಾಯ ವಿಪುಲಂ ವಕ್ತ್ರಂ ಸ್ಥಿತಾ ಸಾ ಮಾರುತೇಃ ಪುರಃ|
ಏವಮುಕ್ತಃ ಸುರಸಯಾ ಕ್ರುದ್ಧೋ ವಾನರಪುಙ್ಗವಃ||157-3||

ಸ|| ವಾನರೋತ್ತಮ ಅದ್ಯ ಮೇ ವದನಂ ಸತ್ವರಾ ಪ್ರವಿಶ್ಯ ಗಂತವ್ಯಮ್ | ಏಷಃ ವರಃ ಪುರಾ ಮೇ ಧಾತ್ರೇ ದತ್ತಃ ಇತಿ||ಸಾ ವಿಪುಲಂ ವಕ್ತ್ರಂ ವ್ಯಾದಾಯ ಮಾರುತೇಃ ಪುರಃ ಸ್ಥಿತಃ| ಸುರಸಯಾ ಏವಂ ಉಕ್ತಃ ವಾನರಃ ಕ್ರುದ್ಧಃ (ಅಭವತ್)||

'Oh Best of Vanaras today enter my mouth quickly and then you may go. Such is my boon given to me by Brahma , the creator'. She opened her mouth wide and stood in front of Maruti. Having been told thus by Surasa the Vanara became angry.

ಶ್ಲೋ|| ಅಬ್ರವೀತ್ಕುರುವೈ ವಕ್ತ್ರಂ ಯೇನ ಮಾಂ ವಿಷಹಿಷ್ಯಸೇ|
ಇತ್ಯುಕ್ತ್ವಾ ಸುರಸಾ ಕ್ರುದ್ಧಾ ದಶಯೋಜನಮಾಯತಾ ||157-4||
ದಶಯೋಜನವಿಸ್ತಾರೋ ಬಭೂವ ಹನುಮಾಂಸ್ತದಾ |
ತಂ ದೃಷ್ಟ್ವಾ ಮೇಘಸಙ್ಕಾಶಂ ದಶಯೋಜನಮಾಯತಮ್||157-5||
ಚಕಾರ ಸುರಸಾ ಚಾಸ್ಯಂ ವಿಂಶದ್ಯೋಜನ ಮಾಯತಮ್|

ಸ|| (ಸಃ ವಾನರಃ) ವೈ ವಕ್ತ್ರಂ ಯೇನ ಮಾಮ್ ವಿಷಹಿಷ್ಯಸೇ (ತತ್) ಕುರು (ಇತಿ) ಅಬ್ರವೀತ್|| ಇತಿ ಉಕ್ತ್ವಾ ಕ್ರುದ್ಧಾ ಹನುಮಾನ್ ದಶಯೋಜನಮ್ ಆಯತಾ ದಶಯೋಜನ ವಿಸ್ತಾರಃ ಬಭೂವ || ಮೇಘಸಂಕಾಶಂ ದಶಯೋಜನಮಾಯತಂ ತಂ ದೃಷ್ಟ್ವಾ ಸುರಸಾ ಚ ಆಸ್ಯಂ ವಿಂಶದ್ಯೋಜನಂ ಆಯತಮ್ ಚಕಾರ ||

The Vanara said open the mouth that which can bear me . So saying, the angry Hanuman grew ten Yojanas wide and ten Yojanas long. Seeing the ten Yojanas wide Hanuman looking like a cloud, Surasa too stretched her mouth wide by twenty Yojanas.

ಚಕಾರ ಸುರಸಾ ವಕ್ತ್ರಂ ಚತ್ವಾರಿಂಶತ್ತಥೋಚ್ಛ್ರಿತಮ್ |
ಬಭೂವ ಹನುಮಾನ್ವೀರಃ ಪಞ್ಚಾಶದ್ಯೋಜನೋಚ್ಛ್ರಿತಃ||157-7||
ಚಕಾರ ಸುರಸಾ ವಕ್ತ್ರಂ ಷಷ್ಟಿಯೋಜನ ಮಾಯತಮ್|
ತಥೈವ ಹನುಮಾನ್ವೀರಃ ಸಪ್ತತೀ ಯೋಜನೋಚ್ಛ್ರಿತಃ||157-8||
ಚಕಾರ ಸುರಸಾ ವಕ್ತ್ರಂ ಅಶೀತೀ ಯೋಜನಾಯತಮ್ |
ಹನುಮಾನ್ ಅಚಲಪ್ರಖ್ಯೋ ನವತೀ ಯೋಜನೋಚ್ಛ್ರಿತಃ ||157-9||
ಚಕಾರ ಸುರಸಾ ವಕ್ತ್ರಂ ಶತಯೋಜನ ಮಾಯತಮ್|

ಸ|| ತತಃ ಹನುಮಾಂಸ್ತು ( ಹನುಮಾನ್ ಅಪಿ) ಕ್ರುದ್ಧಃ ತ್ರಿಂಶದ್ಯೋಜನಂ ಆಯತಃ(ಅಭವತ್)| ಸುರಸಾ ತಥಾವಕ್ತ್ರಂ ಚತ್ವಾರಿಂಶಂ ಉಚ್ಛ್ರಿತಮ್ ಚಕಾರ||ಹನುಮಾನ್ ವೀರಃ ಪಂಚಾಸದ್ಯೋಜನ ಉಚ್ಛ್ರಿತಃ ಬಭೂವ | (ತದಾ) ಸುರಸಾ ವಕ್ತ್ರಂ ಷಷ್ಟಿಯೋಜನಂ ಆಯತಂ ಚಕಾರ||ತಥೈವ ವೀರಃ ಹನುಮಾನ್ ತಥೈವ ಸಪ್ತತೀ ಯೋಜನಮ್ ಉಚ್ಛ್ರಿತಃ| ಸುರಸಾ ವಕ್ತ್ರಂ ಅಶೀತೀ ಯೋಜನಂ ಆಯತಮ್||ಅಚಲಪ್ರಖ್ಯೋ ಹನುಮಾನ್ ನವತೀ ಯೋಜನಂ ಉಛ್ಛ್ರಿತಃ| (ತದಾ) ಸುರಸಾ ವಕ್ತ್ರಂ ಶತಯೋಜನಂ ಆಯತಮ್||

The Hanuman also being angry stretched his body to thirty Yojanas. Surasa then stretched her mouth to forty Yojanas. Then the hero Hanuman became fifty Yojana high. Then Surasa became sixty Yojanas wide. In the same way Hanuman grew to seventy Yojanas. Surasa became eighty Yojana wide. Then Hanuman grew to ninety Yojanas like a mountain. Then Surasa's mouth became hundred Yojanas wide.

ಶ್ಲೋ|| ತಂ ದೃಷ್ಟ್ವಾ ವ್ಯಾದಿತಂ ತ್ವಾಸ್ಯಂ ವಾಯುಪುತ್ತ್ರಃ ಸುಬುದ್ಧಿಮಾನ್||157-10||
ದೀರ್ಘಜಿಹ್ವಂ ಸುರಸಯಾ ಸುಘೋರಂ ನರಕೋಪಮಮ್|
ಸುಸಂಕ್ಷಿಪ್ಯಾತ್ಮನಃ ಕಾಯಂ ಬಭೂವಾಂಗುಷ್ಟಮಾತ್ರಕಃ||158||
ಸೋಽಭಿಪತ್ಯಾಶು ತದ್ವಕ್ತ್ರಂ ನಿಷ್ಪತ್ಯ ಚ ಮಹಾಬಲಃ|
ಅನ್ತರಿಕ್ಷೇ ಸ್ಥಿತಃ ಶ್ರೀಮಾನ್ ಇದಂ ವಚನಮಬ್ರವೀತ್ ||159||

ಸ|| ಸುಬುದ್ಧಿಮಾನ್ ವಾಯುಪುತ್ತ್ರಃ ಸುರಸಯಾ ವ್ಯಾದಿತಂ ದೀರ್ಘಜಿಹ್ವಂ ಸುಘೋರಂ ತಂ ಆಸ್ಯಂ ದೃಷ್ಟ್ವಾ ಆತ್ಮನಃ ಕಾಯಂ ಅಂಗುಷ್ಟಮಾತ್ರಕಃ ಬಭೂವ ||ಶ್ರೀಮಾನ್ ಮಹಾಬಲಃ ಸಃ ಆಶು ತದ್ವಕ್ರಂ ಅಭಿಪತ್ಯ ನಿಪತ್ಯ ಚ ಅನ್ತರಿಕ್ಷೇ ಸ್ಥಿತಃ ಇದಂ ವಚನಮ್ ಅಬ್ರವೀತ್||

The very intelligent Hanuman seeing the terrifying mouth with long tongue thus opened , made himself to be of the size of a thumb. The illustrious and mighty Hanuman quickly entered her mouth and came out. Standing in the sky said the following words.

ಶ್ಲೋ|| ಪ್ರವಿಷ್ಟೋಽಸ್ಮಿ ಹಿ ತೇ ವಕ್ತ್ರಂ ದಾಕ್ಷಾಯನೀ ನಮೋಸ್ತುತೇ|
ಗಮಿಷ್ಯೇ ಯತ್ರ ವೈದೇಹೀ ಸತ್ಯಂ ಚಾಸೀದ್ವರಸ್ತವ ||160||
ತಂ ದೃಷ್ಟ್ವಾ ವದಾನಾನ್ಮುಕ್ತಂ ಚನ್ದ್ರಂ ರಾಹುಮುಖಾದಿವ|
ಅಬ್ರವೀತ್ಸುರಸಾ ದೇವೀ ಸ್ವೇನ ರೂಪೇಣ ವಾನರಮ್||161||

' Dakshyani ! I have entered your mouth. You boon has come true. Salutations to you. I will go where Vaidehi is' . Seeing the Vanara like Moon released from the mouth of Rahu, Surasa assuming her own form said the following.

ಶ್ಲೋ|| ಅರ್ಥಸಿಧ್ಯೈ ಹರಿಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠ ಗಚ್ಛಸೌಮ್ಯ ಯಥಾಸುಖಮ್|
ಸಮಾನಯಸ್ವ ವೈದೇಹೀಂ ರಾಘವೇಣ ಮಹಾತ್ಮನಾ ||162||
ತತೃತೀಯಂ ಹನುಮತೋ ದೃಷ್ಟ್ವಾ ಕರ್ಮ ಸುದುಷ್ಕರಮ್|
ಸಾಧು ಸಾಧ್ವಿತಿ ಭೂತಾನಿ ಪ್ರಶಶಂಸುಃ ತದಾ ಹರಿಮ್ ||163||

ಸ|| ಹರಿಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠ ಸೌಮ್ಯ ಯಥಾಸುಖಂ ಅರ್ಥ್ಯಸಿದ್ಧ್ಯೈ ಗಚ್ಛ |ವೈದೇಹೀಂ ರಾಘವೇಣ ಸಮಾನಯ||ತತ್ ಹನುಮತಃ ( ಹನುಮತಸ್ಯ) ತೃತೀಯಂ ಸುದುಷ್ಕರಮ್ ಕರ್ಮ ದೃಷ್ಟ್ವಾ ತದಾ ಸಾಧು ಸಾಧು ಇತಿ ( ಸರ್ವಾಣಿ) ಭೂತಾನಿ ಹನುಮತಃ ಪ್ರಶಶಂಸುಃ||

"Oh The best of Vanaras ! Proceed to accomplish your task. Unite Vaidehi with Raghava". Seeing that accomplishment of a third task which is difficult to accomplish all creatures praised Hanuman and said 'very good, very good'

ಸ|| ವೇಗೇನ ಗರುಡೋಪಮಃ ಸಃ ಅನಾಧೃಷ್ಯಮ್ ವರುಣಾಲಯಂ ಸಾಗರಂ ಅಭ್ಯೇತ್ಯ ಆಕಾಶಂ ಆವಿಶ್ಯ ಜಗಾಮ||ವಾರಿದಾರಾಭಿಃ ಸೇವಿತೇ ಪತಗೈಶ್ಚ ನಿಷೇವಿತೇ ಕೈಶಿಕಾಚಾರ್ಯೈಃ ಚರಿತೇ ಐರಾವತ ನಿಷೇವಿತೇ (ವಾಯುಮಾರ್ಗೇ ಹನುಮಾನ್ ಜಗಾಮ)||

Hanuman flying like Garuda speedily piercing through the invincible ocean , the abode of Varuna , went coursing through the sky. (Hanuman followed the path) frequented by the clouds that release torrents, inhabited by the birds, traversed by the masters of music and dance, attended by Airavata.

Frequented by the well decorated aerial vehicles drawn by lions, elephants, tigers, birds serpents, Frequented by the gods of fire who strike fiercely like a thunderbolt, those who have done meritorious deeds, those accomplished people who have conquered heaven, looking splendid,

ಸ|| ಅತ್ಯರ್ಥಂ ಅಲಂಕೃತೇ ಹವ್ಯಂ ವಹತಾ ಚಿತ್ರಭಾನುನಾ ಸೇವಿತೇ ಗ್ರಹನಕ್ಷತ್ರ ಚನ್ದ್ರಾರ್ಕತಾರಾಗಣವಿಭೂಷಿತೇ ( ಆಕಾಶ ಮಾರ್ಗೇ ಹನುಮಾನ್ ಜಗಾಮ)||ಮಹರ್ಷಿ ಗಣ ಗನ್ಧರ್ವ ನಾಗ ಯಕ್ಷ ಸಮಾಕುಲೇ ವಿವಿಕ್ತೇ ವಿಮಲೇ ವಿಶ್ವೇ ವಿಶ್ವಾವಸು ನಿಷೇವಿತೇ (ಮಾರ್ಗೇ ಹನುಮಾನ್ ಜಗಾಮ)

The path was frequented by the god of Fire carrying the Havis decorated splendidly , adorned with planets , stars, Moon and other constellations. Filled with groups of great Rishis, Gandharvas, Nagas, Yakshas , with isolated clear region inhabited by Viswavasu.

ಸ|| ದೇವರಾಜ ಗಜಾಕ್ರಾನ್ತೇ ಚಂದ್ರಸೂರ್ಯಪಥೇ ಶಿವೇ ಜೀವಲೋಕಸ್ಯ ಬ್ರಹ್ಮ ನಿರ್ಮಿತೇ ವಿತತೇ ವಿತಾನೇ (ಮಾರ್ಗೇ ಹನುಮಾನ್ ಜಗಾಮ) || ವರೈಃ ವೀರೈಃ ವಿದ್ಯಾಧರಗಣೈಃ ಬಹುಶಃ ಸೇವಿತೇ ವಾಯುಮಾರ್ಗೇ ಮಾರುತಿಃ ಗರುತ್ಮಾನಿವ ಜಗಾಮ||

It is the sporting ground of the elephant of king of Devas, the path of Sun and Moon, auspicious place of living beings created by Brahma, the extensive canopy covering the earth. Like Garuda Hanuman traversed that path traversed by the groups of Vidyadharas who are best of heroes.

ಪ್ಲವಮಾನಂ ತು ತಂ ದೃಷ್ಟ್ವಾ ಸಿಂಹಿಕಾ ನಾಮ ರಾಕ್ಷಸೀ|
ಮನಸಾ ಚಿನ್ತಯಾಮಾಸ ಪ್ರವೃದ್ಧಾ ಕಾಮರೂಪಿಣೀ ||173||

ಸ|| ಹನುಮಾನ್ ಮಾರುತಾತ್ಮಜಃ ಸರ್ವತ್ರ ಪ್ರದೃಶ್ಯಮಾನಃ ನಿರಾಲಂಬಂ ಲಂಬಪಕ್ಷಃ ಅದ್ರಿರಾಟ್ ಇವ ಭೇಜೇ|| ಪ್ಲವಮಾನಂ ತಂ ದೃಷ್ಟ್ವಾ ಸಿಂಹಿಕಾ ನಾಮಾ ರಾಕ್ಷಸೀ ಪ್ರವೃದ್ಧಾ ಕಾಮರೂಪಿಣೀ ಚಿನ್ತಯಾಮಾಸ||

Hanuman , the son of wind god, being seen everywhere in the sky, was looking like a mountain with wings flying unsupported in the sky. Seeing that Hanuman flying like that, a Rakshasi by name Simhika who can assume any form expanded in her size started thinking.

ಶ್ಲೋ|| ಅದ್ಯ ದೀರ್ಘಸ್ಯ ಕಾಲಸ್ಯ ಭವಿಷ್ಯಾಮ್ಯಹಮಾಶಿತಾ |
ಇದಂ ಹಿ ಮೇ ಮಹತ್ ಸತ್ವಂ ಚಿರಸ್ಯ ವಶಮಾಗತಮ್||174||
ಇತಿ ಸಞ್ಚಿತ್ಯ ಮನಸಾ ಛಾಯಮಸ್ಯ ಸಮಾಕ್ಷಿಪತ್ |
ಛಾಯಾಯಾಂ ಗೃಹ್ಯಮಾಣಾಯಾಂ ಚಿನ್ತಯಾಮಾಸ ವಾನರಃ||175||

ಸ|| ಚಿರಸ್ಯ ಇದಂ ಮಹತ್ ಸತ್ತ್ವಮ್ ಮೇ ವಶಮ್ ಆಗತಮ್ | ದೀರ್ಘಸ್ಯ ಕಾಲಸ್ಯ ಅದ್ಯ ಅಹಮ್ ಆಶಿತಾ ಭವಿಷ್ಯಾಮಿ||(ಸಿಂಹಿಕಾ) ಇತಿ ಮನಸಾ ಸಂಚಿತ್ಯ ಅಸ್ಯ (ಕಪಿಸ್ಯ) ಛಾಯಾಮ್ ಸಮಾಕ್ಷಿಪತ್ | ಛಾಯಾಯಾಮ್ ಗೃಹ್ಯಮಾಣಾಯಾಮ್ ವಾನರಃ ಚಿಂತಯಾಮಾಸ||

' After a long time this great being has come into my fold. Today I will be satiated' . (Simhika) having thought like this , pulled his shadow. Being held by the shadow the Vanara started thinking.

ಶ್ಲೋ|| ಸಮಾಕ್ಷಿಪ್ತೋಽಸ್ಮಿ ಸಹಸಾ ಪಂಗೂಕೃತ ಪರಾಕ್ರಮಃ|
ಪ್ರತಿಲೋಮೇನ ವಾತೇನ ಮಹಾನೌರಿವ ಸಾಗರೇ||176||
ತಿರ್ಯಗೂರ್ಧ್ವಮಥಶ್ಚೈವ ವೀಕ್ಷಮಾಣಸ್ತತಃ ಕಪಿಃ|
ದದರ್ಶ ಸ ಮಹತ್ ಸತ್ತ್ವಂ ಉತ್ಥಿತಂ ಲವಣಾಮ್ಭಸಿ||177||

ಸ||ಸಾಗರೇ ಮಹಾನೌರಿವ ಪ್ರತಿಲೋಮೇನ ವಾತೇನ ಸಹಸಾ ಪಂಗೂಕೃತ ಮಾನಃ ಸಮಾಕ್ಷಿಪ್ತಃ ಅಸ್ಮಿ||ತತಃ (ಹನುಮಾನ್) ತಿರ್ಯಕ್ ಊರ್ಧ್ವಮ್ ಅಥಶ್ಚೈವ ವೀಕ್ಷಮಾಣಃ ಲವಣಾಮ್ಭಸಿ ಉತ್ಥಿತಮ್ ಮಹತ್ ಸತ್ತ್ವಂ ದದರ್ಶ||

'Like the ship in the sea caught by the opposing wind, I have been caught and become powerless'. Then Hanuman looking up down, across saw the great creature risen up in the waters of the sea.

ಛಾಯಾಗ್ರಾಹೀ ಮಹಾವೀರ್ಯಂ ತದಿದಂ ನಾತ್ರ ಸಂಶಯಃ|
ಸ ತಾಂ ಬುದ್ವಾರ್ಥತತ್ವೇನ ಸಿಂಹಿಕಾಂ ಮತಿಮಾನ್ಕಪಿಃ||179||
ವ್ಯವರ್ಥತ ಮಹಾಕಾಯಃ ಪಾವೃಷೀವ ವಲಾಹಕಃ|

ಸ||ಮಾರುತಿಃ ತತ್ ವಿಕೃತಾನನಮ್ ದೃಷ್ಟ್ವಾ ಚಿಂತಯಾಮಾಸ | ಕಪಿರಾಜೇನ ಕಥಿತಮ್ ಅದ್ಭುತದರ್ಶನಂ ಮಹಾವೀರ್ಯಂ ಛಾಯಾಗ್ರಾಹೀ ಮಹಾವೀರ್ಯಂ ತತ್ ಸತ್ತ್ವಂ ಇದಂ ಅತ್ರ ನ ಸಂಶಯಃ ನ ||ಮತಿಮಾನ್ ಸ ಕಪಿಃ ತಾಮ್ ಅರ್ಥತತ್ತ್ವೇನ ಸಿಂಹಿಕಾಮ್ ಬುದ್ಧ್ವಾ ಮಹಾಕಾಯಃ ಪ್ರಾವೃಷಿ ವಲಾಹಕಃ ಇವ ವ್ಯವರ್ಥತ ||

Maruti seeing that ugly faced one started thinking. This is no doubt the amazing to look at , powerful creature capable of capturing the shadow, as told by the King of Vanaras. The wise Hanuman recognizing the true nature of Simhika, grew like a cloud in a rainy season.

ಶ್ಲೋ|| ತಸ್ಯ ಸಾ ಕಾಯಮುದ್ವೀಕ್ಷ್ಯ ವರ್ಧಮಾನಂ ಮಹಾಕಪೇಃ||180||
ವಕ್ತ್ರಂ ಪ್ರಸಾರಮಾಯಾಸ ಪಾತಾಳಾಂತರ ಸನ್ನಿಭಮ್|
ಘನರಾಜೀವ ಗರ್ಜಂತೀ ವಾನರಂ ಸಮಭಿದ್ರವತ್||181||
ಸ ದದರ್ಶ ತತಸ್ತಸ್ಯಾ ವಿವೃತಂ ಸುಮಹಾನ್ಮುಖಮ್|
ಕಾಯಮಾತ್ರಂ ಚ ಮೇಧಾವೀ ಮರ್ಮಾಣಿ ಚ ಮಹಾಕಪಿಃ||182||

ಸ|| (ಸಾ ಸಿಂಹಿಕಾ) ಪಾತಾಳಾಂತರ ಸನ್ನಿಭಂ ವಕ್ತ್ರಂ ಪ್ರಸಾರಯಾಮಾಸ | ಘನರಾಜೀವ ಗರ್ಜನ್ತೀ ವಾನರಂ ಸಮಭಿದ್ರವತ್ ||ತತಃ ಮೇಧಾವೀ ಮಹಾಕಪಿಃ ತಸ್ಯಾಃ ವಿವೃತಮ್ ಕಾಯಮಾತ್ರಂ ಸುಮಹತ್ ಮುಖಮ್ ಮರ್ಮಾಣಿ ಚ ಸಃ ದದರ್ಶ||

That Simhika extended her mouth having the depth of underworld. Roaring like heavy clouds, she ran towards the Vanara. Then the great intelligent Vanara saw the enormous open mouth and body alone and vital parts too.

ಶ್ಲೋ|| ಸ ತಸ್ಯಾ ವಿವೃತೇ ವಕ್ತ್ರೇ ವಜ್ರಸಂಹನನಃ ಕಪಿಃ|
ಸಂಕ್ಷಿಪ್ತ್ಯ ಮುಹುರಾತ್ಮಾನಂ ನಿಷ್ಪಪಾತ ಮಹಾಬಲಃ||183||
ಅಸ್ಯೇ ತಸ್ಯಾ ನಿಮಜ್ಜಂತಂ ದದೃಶು ಸಿದ್ಧಚಾರಣಾಃ|
ಗ್ರಸ್ಯಮಾನಂ ಯಥಾ ಚನ್ದ್ರಂ ಪೂರ್ಣಂ ಪರ್ವಣಿ ರಾಹುಣಾ||184||

ಸ|| ಮಹಾಬಲಃ ವಜ್ರಸಂಹನನಃ ಸಃ ಕಪಿಃ ಆತ್ಮಾನಮ್ ಮುಹುಃ ಸಂಕ್ಷಿಪ್ತ್ಯ ತಸ್ಯಾಃ ವಿವೃತೇ ವಕ್ತ್ರೇ ನಿಷ್ಪಪಾತ||ಸಿದ್ಧ ಚಾರಣಾಃ ತಸ್ಯಾಃ ಆಸ್ಯೇ ನಿಮಜ್ಜಂತಂ ಪರ್ವಣಿ ರಾಹುನಾ ಗ್ರಸ್ಯಮಾನಂ ಪೂರ್ಣಂ ಚಂದ್ರ ಯಥಾ ದದೃಶು||

The mighty Vanara with thunderbolt like physiques contracted himself and entered her open mouth. The Siddhas and Charanas saw him drowning in her mouth like the full moon on the on the full moon day being grabbed by Rahu.

ಶ್ಲೋ|| ತತಸ್ತಸ್ಯಾ ನಖೈಸ್ತೀಕ್ಷ್ಣೈರ್ಮರ್ಮಾಣ್ಯುತ್ಕೃತ್ಯ ವಾನರಃ|
ಉತ್ಪಪಾಥ ವೇಗೇನ ಮನಃ ಸಂಪಾತವಿಕ್ರಮಃ||185||
ತಾಂ ತು ದೃಷ್ಟ್ಯಾ ಚ ಧೃತ್ಯಾಚ ದಾಕ್ಷಿಣ್ಯೇನ ನಿಪಾತ್ಯ ಚ|
ಸ ಕಪಿಪ್ರವರೋ ವೇಗಾದ್ವವೃಧೇ ಪುನರಾತ್ಮವಾನ್ |186||

ಸ||ತತಃ ವಾನರಃ ತೀಕ್ಷ್ಣೈಃ ನಖೈಃ ತಸ್ಯಾಃ ಮರ್ಮಾಣಿ ಉತ್ಕೃತ್ಯ ಮನಃ ಸಂಪಾತವಿಕ್ರಮಃ ವೇಗೇನ ಉತ್ಪಪಾತ|| ಸಃ ಕಪಿ ಪ್ರವರಃ ತಾಮ್ ದೃಷ್ಟ್ವಾ ಚ ಧೃತ್ಯಾ ಚ ದಾಕ್ಷಿಣ್ಯೇನ ನಿಪಾತ್ಯ ಪುನಃ ವೇಗಾತ್ ಆತ್ಮವಾನ್ ವವೃಧೇ||

Then the Vanara tearing her vital parts with his sharp nails with the speed of mind in action quickly rushed out. The self-controlled great Vanara, with firmness of mind and ingenuity, seeing her threw her down again and rapidly grew in size.

ಭೂತಾನ್ಯಾಕಾಶಚಾರೀಣಿ ತಮೂಚುಃ ಪ್ಲವಗೋತ್ತಮಮ್|
ಭೀಮಮದ್ಯಕೃತಂ ಕರ್ಮ ಮಹತ್ ಸತ್ವಂ ತ್ವಯಾ ಹತಮ್||188||
ಸಾಧಯಾರ್ಥಮಭಿಪ್ರೇತಂ ಅರಿಷ್ಟಂ ಪ್ಲವತಾಂ ವರ|

ಸ|| ಸಾ ಹನುಮತಾ ಹ್ರುಹ್ರುತ್ ವಿಧುರಾ ವಾನರೇಣ ಆಸು ಹತಾಂ ಅಮ್ಬಸಿ ಪಪಾತ|ಪತಿತಾಮ್ ತಾಂ ವೀಕ್ಷ್ಯ ಆಕಾಶಚಾರೀಣಿ ಭೂತಾನಿ ಪ್ಲವಗೋತ್ತಮಮ್ ಊಚುಃ||ಪ್ಲವತಾಂ ವರಃಅದ್ಯ ತ್ವಯಾ ಮಹತ್ ಸತ್ತ್ವಂ ಹತಮ್| ಭೀಮಮ್ ಕರ್ಮ ಕೃತಮ್| (ತವ) ಅಭಿಪ್ರೇತಮ್ ಅರ್ಥಮ್ ಅರಿಷ್ಟಮ್ ಸಾಧಯ |

With the heart torn , the miserable one instantly killed by Hanuman dropped down in the sea. Seeing her who has fallen down the beings who travel the sky addressed the best of Vanaras. ' Oh best of flyers ! Today you have killed a great being. Fierce task was done. Fulfil your mission unobstructed'.

ಜಗಾಮಾಕಾಶಮಾವಿಶ್ಯ ಪನ್ನಗಾಶನವತ್ಕಪಿಃ|

ಸ|| ವಾನರೇಂದ್ರ ಯಸ್ಯ ಧೃತಿಃ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಃ ಮತಿಃ ದಾಕ್ಷ್ಯಂ ಏತಾನಿ ಚತ್ವಾರಿ ತವ ಯಥಾ ಸಃ ಕರ್ಮಸು ನ ಸೀದತಿ||ಪೂಜ್ಯಃ ಸಃ ಕಪಿಃ ತೈಃ ಸಮ್ಭಾವಿತಃ ಪ್ರತಿಪನ್ನಪ್ರಯೋಜನಃ ಆಕಾಶಂ ಆವಿಶ್ಯ ಪನ್ನಗಾಶನವತ್ ಜಗಾಮ||

'Oh Best of Vanaras ! The one who has fortitude, vision, intelligence and dexterity like you will achieve his mission and will not be lost '. The venerable one that Vanara thus honored having ascended the skies flew like Garuda to achieve his objective.

ಶ್ಲೋ|| ಪ್ರಾಪ್ತಭೂಯಿಷ್ಟ ಪಾರಸ್ತು ಪರ್ವತಃ ಪ್ರತಿಲೋಕಯನ್ ||191||
ಯೋಜನಾನಾಂ ಶತಸ್ಯಾನ್ತೇ ವನರಾಜಿಂ ದದರ್ಶ ಸಃ|
ದದರ್ಶ ಚ ಪತನ್ನೇವ ವಿವಿಧ ದ್ರುಮಭೂಷಿತಮ್||192||
ದ್ವೀಪಂ ಶಾಖಾಮೃಗಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠೋ ಮಲಯೋಪವನಾನಿ ಚ|

ಸ|| ( ಹನುಮಾನ್) ಶತಸ್ಯ ಯೋಜನಾನಾಮ್ ಅನ್ತೇ ಪ್ರಾಪಭೂಯಿಷ್ಠ ಪಾರಃ ಸರ್ವತಃ ಪ್ರತಿಲೋಕಯನ್ ವನರಾಜಿಮ್ ದದರ್ಶ||ಶಾಖಾಮೃಗ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠಃ ಪತನ್ನೇವ ವಿವಿಧದ್ರುಮಭೂಷಿತಂ ದ್ವೀಪಂ ಮಲಯೋಪವನಾನಿ ಚ ದದರ್ಶ||

Having reached the other shore as he looked around, the Vanara saw rows of trees at the end of hundred Yojanas. Hanuman the best among creatures that jump on trees , even while flying saw the island adorned with many trees and garden bordering the Malaya mountain.

ಸಾಗರಸ್ಯ ಚ ಪತ್ನೀನಾಂ ಮುಖಾನ್ಯಪಿ ವಿಲೋಕಯನ್|
ಸ ಮಹಾಮೇಘಸಙ್ಕಾಶಂ ಸಮೀಕ್ಷ್ಯಾತ್ಮಾನ ಮಾತ್ಮವಾನ್||194||
ನಿರುಂಧತ ಮಿವಾಕಾಶಂ ಚಕಾರ ಮತಿಮಾನ್ಮತಿಮ್|

ಸ|| ಸಾಗರಂ ಸಾಗರಾನೂಪಂ ಸಾಗರಾನೂಪಜಾನ್ ದ್ರುಮಾನ್ ಸಾಗರಸ್ಯ ಪತ್ನೀನಾಂ (ನದೀನಾಂ) ಮುಖಾನ್ಯಪಿ ವಿಲೋಕಯನ್ ಸಃ ಮಹಾಮೇಘಸಂಕಾಶಂ ಆಕಾಶಂ ನಿರುಂಧತ ಮಿವ ಆತ್ಮವಾನ್ ಸಮೀಕ್ಷ್ಯ (ಹನುಮಾನ್) ಮತಿಂ ಚಕಾರ||

Looking at the ocean he observed the sea, the land bordering the sea, the trees grown on the land bordering the sea, and the mouth of the branches of the sea , looking at his own body of the size of a cloud as though obstructing the sky thought as follows.

ತತಃ ಶರೀರಂ ಸಂಕ್ಷಿಪ್ಯ ತನ್ಮಹೀಧರಸನ್ನಿಭಮ್||196||
ಪುನಃ ಪ್ರಕೃತಿ ಮಾಪೇದೇ ವೀತಮೋಹಾ ಇವಾತ್ಮವಾನ್|

ಸ|| ಮಮ ಕಾಯವೃದ್ಧಿಂ ಪ್ರವೇಗಂ ಚ ದೃಷ್ಟ್ವೈವ ರಾಕ್ಷಸಾಃ ಮಯಿ ಕೌತೂಹಲಮ್ ಕುರ್ಯುಃ ಇತಿ ಮಹಾಕಪಿಃ ಮೇನೇ||ತತಃ ತತ್ ಮಹೀಧರ ಸನ್ನಿಭಮ್ ತತ್ ಶರೀರಂ ಸಂಕ್ಷಿಪ್ಯ ವೀತಮೋಹಃ ಆತ್ಮವಾನಿವ ಪುನಃ ಪ್ರಕೃತಿಂ ಆಪೇದೇ||

The great Vanara thought that seeing my increased size of body and the speed the Rakshasas will be inquisitive about me. Then having contracted his body which is like a mountain, getting rid of his attachment, once again resumed his normal form.

ಶ್ಲೋ|| ತದ್ರೂಪ ಮತಿ ಸಂಕ್ಷಿಪ್ಯ ಹನುಮಾನ್ ಪ್ರಕೃತೌ ಸ್ಥಿತಃ||
ತ್ರೀನ್ಕ್ರಮಾನಿವ ವಿಕ್ರಮ್ಯ ಬಲಿವೀರ್ಯಹರೋ ಹರಿಃ||197||

ಸ|| ಹನುಮಾನ್ ತತ್ ರೂಪಂ ಅತಿಸಂಕ್ಷಿಪ್ಯ ಬಲಿವೀರ್ಯಹರಃ ಹರಿಃ ತ್ರೀನ್ ಕ್ರಮಾನ್ ವಿಕ್ರಮ್ಯ ಇವ ಪ್ರಕೃತೌ ಸ್ಥಿತಃ ||

Then Hanuman contracting himself to be of a very small size , like Vishnu the vanquisher of Bali with three steps, stood in his normal form.

ಪರಂ ಸಮಾಸಾದ್ಯ ಸಮುದ್ರ ತೀರಮ್|
ಪರೈರಶಕ್ಯಃ ಪ್ರತಿಪನ್ನರೂಪಃ
ಸಮೀಕ್ಷಿತಾತ್ಮಾ ಸಮವೇಕ್ಷಿತಾರ್ಥಃ||198||

ಸ|| ಚಾರುನಾನಾವಿಧರೂಪಧಾರೀ ಪರೈಃ ಅಶಕ್ಯಃ ಸಃ ಪರಂ ಸಮುದ್ರತೀರಮ್ ಸಮಾಸಾದ್ಯ ಸಮೀಕ್ಷಿತಾತ್ಮಾ ಪ್ರತಿಪನ್ನರೂಪಃ ಸಮವೇಕ್ಷಿತಾರ್ಥಃ||

The one who can take different forms, having reached the other shore of the ocean which is impossible for others, looking at his own self assumed a form suitable for the purpose.

ವಿಚಿತ್ರ ಕೂಟೇ ನಿಪಪಾತ ಕೂಟೇ|
ಸಕೇತ ಕೋದ್ದಾಲಕನಾಳಿಕೇರೇ
ಮಹಾದ್ರಿಕೂಟ ಪ್ರತಿಮೋ ಮಹಾತ್ಮಾ||199||

ಸ|| ತತಃ ಮಹಾತ್ರಿಕೂಟಪ್ರತಿಮಃ ಸಃ ಮಹಾತ್ಮಾ ಲಮ್ಬಸ್ಯ ಗಿರೇಃ ವಿಚಿತ್ರಕೂಟೇ ಸಮೃದ್ಧೇ ಸಕೇತಕೋದ್ದಾಲಕನಾಲಿಕೇರೇ ಪ್ರತಿಮೌ ನಿಪಪಾತ ಕೂಟೇ||

Then the great soul , who resembled a great mountain descended on the top of Lamba mountain which is full of fruits and blossoms of Ketaka, Uddalaka, Narikela tress with many wonderful peaks.

ಶ್ಲೋ|| ತತಸ್ತು ಸಂಪ್ರಾಪ್ಯ ಸಮುದ್ರ ತೀರಂ
ಸಮೀಕ್ಷ್ಯ ಲಙ್ಕಾಂ ಗಿರಿವರ್ಯಮೂರ್ಧ್ನಿ|
ಕಪಿಸ್ತು ತಸ್ಮಿನ್ ನಿಪಪಾತ ಪರ್ವತೇ
ವಿಧೂಯ ರೂಪಂ ವ್ಯಧಯನ್ ಮೃಗದ್ವಿಜಾನ್||200||

ಸ||ತತಃ ಸಮುದ್ರತೀರಂ ಸಂಪ್ರಾಪ್ಯ ಕಪಿಃ ತು ತಸ್ಮಿನ್ ಪರ್ವತೇ ನಿಪಪಾತ ಮೃಗದ್ವಿಜಾನ್ ವ್ಯಧಯನ್ ರೂಪಂ ವಿಧೂಯ ಗಿರಿವರ್ಯಮೂರ್ಧ್ನಿ (ಸಃ) ಲಂಕಾಂ ಸಮೀಕ್ಷ್ಯ ||

Having reached the seashore, then observing the Lanka located on top of the mountain , Hanuman shook his body which scared the beasts and birds on the mountain he landed.

ಶ್ಲೋ|| ಸ ಸಾಗರಂ ದಾನವಪನ್ನಗಾಯುತಮ್
ಬಲೇನ ವಿಕ್ರಮ್ಯ ಮಹೋರ್ಮಿಮಾಲಿನಮ್|
ನಿಪತ್ಯ ತೀರೇ ಚ ಮಹೋದಧೇ ಸ್ತದಾ
ದದರ್ಶ ಲಙ್ಕಾಂ ಅಮರಾವತೀಮ್ ಇವ|| 201||

Having crossed with his prowess the ocean filled with demons and serpents, having landed on the shore Hanuman saw Lanka adorned with garlands of waves which is like the city of Amaravati

ಶ್ರೀಮತ್ಸುನ್ದರಕಾಣ್ಡೇ ಪ್ರಥಮಸ್ಸರ್ಗಃ||

Thus ends the first Sarga of Sundarakanda in Ramayana the first poem ever composed by the first poet Valmiki.
